I agree. Harlem Globetrotters vs the Washington Generals. The Generals lose every game, as a show team. Their security is guaranteed by the continued attraction of the Globetrotters. 2 - 1 = 1. As long as the country is going to go flaming Democrat forever, the Republicans can easily achieve their loser status in perpetuity by sabotaging themselves.

We’re hosed.

I can see the writing on the wall now:

Republicans AGAIN find a way to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory.

Yep, they'll support immigration "reform" alright ..... stupid bastards.

So how do you get the deed for conservatism back from the GOP-E? They know you will endorse whomever they put in front of us.

I was beginning to feel like the Lone Ranger here.
***Nothing wrong with being the Lone Ranger of conservatism. That is valuable territory to stake out. Instead, you handed over your deed to the GOP-E.

cause he is a drunk and pays for their booze bills

I wonder if you really know how close to the truth that statement is.

Case in point: In 1993 I attended several Campaign Finance and Opposition Research classes funded by various Republican affiliated groups in Washington DC. Jack Kemp's "Empower America" was one of those groups.

Anyway, one day after a very long class that started at 7:30am and ran through to 6pm, the class (about 23 of us, along with our "sponsors" (read that: political candidates) and others went out to a rather famous watering hole in downtown D.C.

I don't remember exactly what time it was, but somewhere after midnight the bar was closing and several wanted to keep on drinking. The bar tender suggested we go to another semi-famous (at the time) watering hole and to give the bartender a specific code so our drinks would be put on Teddy Kennedy's tab.

True story.

Yes, I went and had a few more on Teddy Kennedy's tab. I figured why the hell not.

That’s considered rude? If you’re about to make a huge mistake AND throw out your principles at the same time, isn’t it a kindness for someone to try to talk you out of it? Even in your own living room?

Leave it to the GOP to throw victory into the jaws of defeat.

Choice was Obama or Romney.

It seems like a no brainer, but it probably wasn’t.

Whatever the case, Cruz or bust.

I did not vote for Romney here in Tenn.

Say what you will. Romney is the SAME animal as Obama, except he has an R by his name. I have come to the point of realizing the GOPe is just as determined as the libs to tear down this country.

Only choice or not, I’ll NOT vote for a socialist even if he carries the R banner.

Even here on FR, JimRob endorsed a candidate whom he said he’d never endorse, having called him a gun-grabbing, babykilling statist.

You know better than to mention a Freeper by name without pinging them to your post.

I don’t regret trying to keep Obama from getting reelected. My only regret is we couldn’t convince enough people during the primaries that Romney was the loser we all knew he was.

The Republicrats have made a nicel little ‘tenured’ career out of believe that their core will vote their corrupt assess back into office.

No matter how stateman like they feel they ‘appear’ they know full well that the good ole boys believe they need that contingent of the GOP to fight for the nation and its’ people.

Why, hell, this gaggle is nothing but a bunch of poll watchers who have been happy in the knowledge of regardless of what they so and don’t do they’ll get reelected.

With little Bobby Bonehead at the helm one couldn’t help but amaze at how much he resembes Bob Michel,

Buck up and act light right-wing Conservatives you bunch of Democrat accommodators your time as well as that of the nation you pretend to love is running out!

It’s hard to believe that you just either sit or shove your hands in your pockets and watch while Barry does his magic nation disappearing act.

Perhaps not, but had he been elected, Romney would have matched Obama's agenda pound for pound, and the Republican Congress would have rubber stamped every bit of it.

He just would have done it with a smile, and very gentlemanly manners - all the while assuring us of how "severely conservative" he really and truly is.

Romney was the only Republican candidate who couldn’t campaign against Obamacare if he wanted to....he wrote it for MA. That tells me that the RINOs never wanted to stop Obamacare, and they still don’t.

Then let’s motivate FReepers to overhaul the primary process.

From my home page...
___________________________________________________________________

Here’s how I think primaries should be organized:

My suggestion is basically to hold the first primary in the state that has the highest percentage of GOP votes in the last election, the 2nd primary in the 2nd highest, and so on. 2 primaries a week for 25 weeks, with the last primaries being the suckup-to-the-democrats. And the democrats could easily have their primary schedule the same way, if they wanted.

This way, if a state is 60% republican, there is still incentive for them to get out the vote for 61% republican so they can bump up their state in the primary schedule.

Also: Rotate all the states (even the big ones) through an early schedule so that everyone gets access at some point to the front line.

OR

Let each state bid when they want their primary to take place. The earlier the primary, the fewer the delegates they control according to some logarithmic or steep curve formula.

Second thing is the order of the primaries should be determined by the percentage of republicans in the last vote. The higher the %pubbie, the sooner the state appears on the primary schedule, with a mix of big & little states and our staunchest republican states get to go FIRST. http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/1965735/posts?page=862#862
