Sounds like a character that was trying to please everybody, even the evil folks.

I can’t view this thread as anything more than a vehicle for distraction.
The adulation of this person is disturbing. Someone else made a comment about how upsetting it would be if Obama went to Mandela’s funeral in light of the fact that he didn’t go to Margaret Thatcher’s funeral.
I read that and thought “Where have these people been? It doesn’t upset me at all, I fully expect it.”
To be honest, I would have been upset if he soiled Margaret Thatcher’s funeral by attending it. I feel much the same way about the Gettysburg anniversary and Arlington National Cemetery on Memorial Day.

Good grief. Please look up “necklacing” and see if you still want to defend this vile, sadistic murderous piece of murderous.

I went to the Winter Carnival in Quebec City a few times back in the Eighties with a bunch of people, and that was the first time I had ever seen a Vuvuzela...the streets rang with them, everyone had them, but for some reason, it was never like the sound of a stadium full of angry hornets at 170 decibels. It was just drunken, intermittent honking.
It was also the first time I had ever seen Bon Homme...and the Bon Homme canes filled with liquor!

Mandela had every opportunity to exact revenge and he did not despite many in his inner circle wanting it. How is that not rising above anger? Unfortunately, he also embraced communism. Shades of grey. I can support his desire for freedom for his people even as I understand communism will only change one bondage for another in South Africa.
Our founding fathers rebelled against England and were labeled terrorists by our colonial rulers. They wanted self-determination and were willing to die for it and lose everything. If this sounds familiar great. If not, God bless and each is entitled to his own opinion.

Facebook comments are retard central. You'd think people would be
less inclined to post idiocy under (ostensibly) their real names, but no.
But IMO as much as I loathe Kennedy there is no comparing him with this piece of crap. And no comparing the media coverage or level of historical revisionism either.
There is a complete and total media blackout in regards to the truth about Mandela. The official line everywhere is that he was a saint, a hero, one of history's great men. It makes me sick.. Kennedy's sins are least occasionally discussed.

FWIW, there are lots of South Africans, especially whites, in Calgary. While there is bound to be culture shock, perhaps the biggest shock would be weather/temperature shock. At 9:51 PM MST, the current temperature is -23C (-10F), with a wind chill (ie: it feels like) -32C (-26F). (But it is a DRY cold ;>} ) Canadians will get that joke!

Agreed.
I no longer obsess over what Øbozo will do or say next. I am powerless to change it and only hope that our nation survives his madness. Nothing that he does anymore surprises me - the depths to which he regularly plummets or the insanity he espouses. I share nothing in common with this being and I’m not sure that we even belong to the same species.
