I just saw a video shot of the White House and the flag is being flown at half staff. I can only assume this is due to Mandela's death. I am curious if it customary to fly the flag at half staff for death of foreign leaders.

Kerry has proven himself to be a lying hypocrite on the issue of war crimes. Same with Code Stink and the rest of the barking moonbats. The White Hut is guilty of them and PROUD of it.
We weren’t at war with Gaddafi. He even voluntarily gave up weapons programs after the toppling of Saddam Hussein.

But then, we are absolutely livid how the US flag - or at least the MD flag - is CONSTANTLY half-staff these days. Ever visit a PO on a regular basis? That’ll tell you how bad it is.
They get in knots in grief over every damn police officer, or page at the capitol. And I swear some restaurants and dealerships are lowering it for some co-worker that died.
It’s about time we start crying out about this disgusting prostration of our flag at every pathetic opportunity. We might as well roll over and die, the way these Dem assholes lower the flag every other day.

Churchill’s mother was born in the United States.
Churchill doesn’t count as an example in this case, as he was made an honorary U.S. citizen under JFK (there is something good to be said for JFK).
Mother Teresa seems to be the only other honorary citizen who was not made so posthumously.
