Sounds like poor decision making by the police.

They’re also going to charge him for the cost of the bullets...

Only in Noo Yawk City. Sickening. You are in as much danger from the police there as you are from the criminals. And of course, the right to keep and bear arms is maximally infringed.
To: Orangedog
The cops should be charged with assault. Typical overapplication of force by idiot cops.

Not much different than charging the get away driver for the injury or deaths of others during a bank robbery.
Still, one would wish that the police officers would spend more time on the range.

Cop’s revenge. They are pissed the guy didn’t submit by dying.

The analogy only begins to work if they are also charging the police.

Good chance he will be a rich unarmed man if he gets the proper legal rep
To: Orangedog
Uh, it’s the responsibility of the poorly-trained police because they don’t know how to shoot.

The cops should spend more time at the range instead of marching in “pride” parades.

Or if a SWAT team raids the wrong house and kills someone, the perp at the correct address gets charged with murder.
Cops make it so they are blameless for anything that happens during the execution of their “duties”.

Finally, a police sergeant knocked Mr. Broadnax down with a Taser. So tasers are now "back-up" weapons?
