A Historic Collapse

Most graphs of polling data show shifts that are very gradual. (Tracking real-time changes in poll results often is about as exciting as watching paint dry.) Recently, however, the HuffPost Pollster website produced a graph of national polling on Congress that showed one of the most dramatic shifts I've ever seen in 40 years of involvement in politics. It charts responses to the question of whether voters would like Republicans or Democrats to control the House.

I definitely think they will try to grab defeat.

RINO’s have furious boners, beholding their massive chance of “being big” about their impending change of fortune. They’re wild with excitement, contemplating how much better they stand to be received (for awhile) at DC cocktail parties.

DEATH TO THE GOP.

That’s among HuffPo dolts, remember, the great unwashed middle, the white line down the middle of the road.

Thanks SMGFan.

The young people I know are turning away from Democrats. And yeah, it’s weird. I’m happy it’s happening ... but it’s like I’ve been moved to an alternate universe or something.

No one knows for sure how the next few phases of ACA implementation will go.

The bottom line is that people are going to be paying two or three times more for coverage with deductibles 50 times higher than before.

You can't spin that away.

Next November is going to be epic.

The issue the Republicans face is that the media will distort and spin whatever actions they take. Reid and Pelosi will demand a King's ransom in Republican concessions. If the Republicans resist, they will be portrayed as extremists who are waging war on women, children, blacks and latinos. If they agree, they will demoralize their base. There is no winning.

Our real enemy is the media which makes this situation possible.

They might as well grab de-feat. They have been grabbing de-ankles for most of the One’s term.

A furious boner? As opposed to a Stoner boner?
The GOP-E are walking, talking, limp deeks!

I’m not sure about the young folks I know — they are however disgusted by what they’ve seen now that the mask is off Obama. They still buy into any media agitprop about the “gov’t shutdown” (which was ALL Obama, not the Congress), sequester, etc.

Obamacare is going to break the Demwit party.

Obama doesn’t care. He’ll still get paid.

I’m sure it galls Charlie Cook to acknowledge this as Cook is a big-time leftist who has expressed personal disdain for Tea Party types.

How nice of this to happen right AFTER the election... Don’t worry, by the time the next one rolls around, the liberal world will have righted itself and all will be normal.

True story: I got a phone call tonight from someone at the RNC tonight. Tried to mention to the guy a couple of Republican candidates to whom I have contributed....he asked for money again......I told him I had problems with the RNC. I was firm but polite. Everytime I tried to speak, he spoke over me, never really listening or acknowledging my concerns....

After a couple of attempts and the guy just ignoring me by saying stuff like “We have suffered some loss of membership, can we count on you?” And, “The RNC leadership is facing challenges, can you help us win the presidency?” I KNEW he was just spewing lines at me.

I finally said, “Ah, okay....”and I hung up.

Then, in August, statements started coming from
some of the more exotic Republicans in the
House and Senate that perhaps it was a good
idea to shut down the government over the
implementation of the Affordable Care Act.

I challenge Mr. Cook to provide evidence for this statement. Trying to defund a tyrannical law is not opining that shutting down the government would be swell.

I hope you realize that to “grab defeat” in the eyes most analysts is to do what the majority of Freepers want them to do

It will be way worse than that.

This is only the purchasing intro phase of Obamacare. The tip of the iceberg.

The next phase will be getting what you paid for - being treated.

That's where things will really go wrong...

I haven’t had any calls from the RNC in over 5 years because I told them not to call me until they ran a real conservative for President and I was supporting only local conservatives. I was matter of fact and told the lady to pass that along to her bosses.
