Congressional budget negotiators have reached a two-year agreement aimed at avoiding a government shutdown on Jan. 15 and setting federal government spending levels through Oct. 1, 2015.
Democratic Senator Patty Murray and Representative Paul Ryan scheduled a news conference for 6 p.m. EST to announce the details of the deal they worked out.
As details of a budget deal trickled out of Washington on Tuesday, conservative groups prepared to oppose any agreement that would alter the automatic spending cuts from the 2011 deal.
Republican and Democratic negotiators budget agreement would stop as much as $65 billion in sequestration cuts and avoid a possible federal government shutdown next month.

Why cut spending when you can just print more money? Geez, these people don’t have a responsible clue.
They kicked the can down the road again, so what’s new?
Hell is the only irrevocable chattel of Satan. The earth is a battle ground, and things in it need not be yielded to Satan, though weak Christians often cede it as a result of overly wooden theology. Think: if the earth were entirely Satan’s, there would not be any healings. It only “belongs to Satan” in a relative sense. The New Testament term “world” is more closely aligned with what Satan actually does rule.
Can the Wisconsites do a Recall on this Benedict Arnold? He will probably not get reelected as there are numerous veterans in his district. janesville is still reeling from the GM Auto plant closure. years ago Parker pen closed. what industry is left in Janesville? it has been many years since i have been through Janesville.
Janesville is probably like the UP of Michigan deadville.
Let me put it more boldly: you are afraid to claim Christ’s conquering power. Friends we make with the mammon of unrighteousness WILL greet us in heavenly dwellings. The ephemeral stuff will go away, but that’s not what is important.
uh huh. In case you haven’t noticed, the elections are rigged now and nobody will do a thing to stop it. Pipe dreams.
I'll just say God Bless and continue to fight for what's right in the spirit of The Light...I know you will too FRiend!!
So in exchange for spending more money, what does the GOP win?
Their big donors get pork. Oink oink.
Murray also said that congressional leaders are discussing the possibility of extending some expiring federal benefits for the long-term unemployed but that such legislation will not be included in the two-year budget deal.
BTW, Christ didn't come to conquer, he came to show the way:
"No one comes to the Father but through me...."
Some conservatives on here demand the impossible and remind voters Republicans cannot be trusted with governing.
We don’t want to make life easy for the Democrats by being blamed again for a federal government shutdown. They’re the ones struggling with the fallout from Obamacare.
I want them to run on that in 2014. The budget deal can be revisited later. But the reality is without both a House AND a Senate GOP majority, there’ll be no making sure Obama is a lame duck for his last two years in office.
The big prize is that Obamacare is a political albatross around the Democrats’ necks. Besides that - the federal budget is small potatoes. Not worth changing the narrative to favor the Democrats about more GOP obstructionism.
WRONG. He came to conquer souls. We could not find the way even if “shown” — without that conquest! You talk as if we could do it on our own. We are rebels who need to be conquered.
And... once conquered WE are conquerors too! Christ is a gracious conqueror, not a demeaning conqueror.
Do not be a chicken. The cowardly go to hell.
Well, Ezekiel 28:14 refers to “the anointed cherub that covereth”, and the main cherub that rebelled was Satan, so that seems to mean that he had to have control over the earth prior to his rebelling. There are also Jesus’ references to “the prince of this world” in John 12:31 and 14:30 (the latter verse refers to him being “cast out”.
