NY and the 0 administration are hostile to the military, and are fanatical about cutting its budget.

Higher taxes have worked everywhere they’ve been tried...

If their customers are foreign governments, the sequester is hitting them HOW exactly?

NYS once had a Senator who promised over 200,000 new high paying jobs would come to NY if she was elected. I guess most people in NYS have forgotten about that. The jobs never came, but they will vote for her for President regardless. Maybe come 2016 she’ll promise NYS 400K new high paying jobs and the borough voters will again support her. Seems NYS has lost about 200,000 jobs after she was elected.

Since New Yorkers are all for the Democrats War on the Military and vote to support their anti-military policies, there should be no consternation when defense manufacturers leave for more hospitable places to do business.

By the way, Texas has room...and no state income tax. However, we are going to be looking over our shoulder if Florida, which also has no state income tax, abolishes its corporate tax as well.

“Texas-based Bell Helicopter says it is building a helicopter assembly plant in Lafayette, Louisiana.”

Then Louisiana better lookout as they may have several hundred tax-and-spend Democrat voters headed there way from a shuddered plant in NY.

Simple.

This is how "foreign aid" generally works.

It's nothing but pork for congressional districts.

Our tax money is given to a foreign country.

They are required to spend it on US made goods.

The congresscritters get to in effect give away our money twice.

Once to buy good will in foreign countries, the second, to buy votes back home.

Hmm..., wasn’t Bell Aircraft a New York state based manufacturing company like Link, IBM, Kodak, Xerox, BAE, Toshiba, etc., now Sikorsky? Who is next Lockheed?

She could promise them a kick in the teeth and they’d still fall all over themselves to vote for her. That’s what commies do! Like I say, they should rename NYC, Rosenberg City.

You misconstrue New York State with NYC, and towns like Rochester that are controlled by unions.

The people in that area, which is hours away from NYC don’t usually vote democrat. They did nothing to deserve this.

Buffalo is controlled by unions. Rochester is controlled by urban welfare types.

might be the union issues, not just tax
I worked as a recruiter and we put people into horseheads for a while, they went perm, but when horseheads slowed down, people wanted to go to Coatesville, PA, Coatesville would NOT take any horseheads people.

Rumor was, because of the union influence, didn’t want any of that in Coatesville

oh no...this goes against all the "great" work Cuomo is doing to bring jobs and prosperity to upstate NY....well,I guess he can allow another casino because that is the ONLY thing he's allowing.....

you can't allow people to make money on their own heavily taxed land from fragging that's for sure.....

the reality is that upstate NY is pretty conservative....unfortunately, that doesn't necessarily mean republican....

as long as the teachers and the state workers get to retire on fat pensions with free health insurance at 30 yrs, no one cares.....

I guess Cuomo was hoping to get out in front of this news to declare his Progressive “concern” for small government.
