Dozens of Muslim protestors gathered to demand that businesses stop selling alcohol in a popular East London area yesterday.
The group, led by former Al-Muhajiroun leader Anjem Choudary, warned restaurants and shops in the Brick Lane area that they face 40 lashes if they continue to sell the product, which is banned under Sharia Law.
Around 60 men and women in burkhas handed over warning letters to Muslim-owned businesses in the area after the protest was initially delayed by a small number of English Defence League members staging a counter-protest. Controversial cleric Choudary was at the forefront of the protest. The Al-Muhajiroun group he formerly led has been banned under terrorism laws. Organisers told The Times the protest was held yesterday to coincide with the large number of office workers who would be in the area for Christmas parties.
He also defended three ‘fantastic’ men who were jailed last week for attacking drinkers while on a ‘Muslim patrol’. He was referring to an incident in which Jordan Horner and another Islamic extremist told a couple they could not hold hands while walking down the street, because it was in a 'Muslim area'. The radicals also attacked a group of men drinking in the road, and told a woman she would face 'hell fire' because of the way she was dressed. Horner, 19, Ricardo MacFarlane, 36, and a 23-year-old man who cannot be named for legal reasons were sentenced to 68 weeks, 12 months and 24 weeks in prison respectively.

There is no LAW. There is belief system.
When protesters are calling for violence against those who dare violate their beliefs system, they have crossed a line. It isn’t even vigilantism. Unless you recognize Sharia Law as settled international law.
How ‘bout that “multiculturalism and diversity”? ROTFL!
A country that is less than 10% Muslim should not be giving up.
Then the EDL lads will go to jail. And their leaders will go to jail. And the EDL will eventually be banned.
Britain is at a critical point in its history. And she will choose the easy path of appeasement. That will lead to ruin.

Oklahoma Ban on Sharia Law Unconstitutional, US Judge Rules
U.S. District Judge Vicki Miles-LaGrange struck down a state constitutional amendment that forbade its courts from considering Islamic law in judicial decisions.
I say, old chap! That’s rather cheeky don’t you think? Slicing a normal person’s neck in broad daylight, then demanding that Brits stop selling alcohol.
They have a distorted sense of values. Murder OK. Alcohol no.
If Muslims choose to live by Sharia law then that is their choice. However, I am not in favor of allowing them to impose Sharia law on people who are not Muslim.
I remember the old days when Catholics used to not eat meat on Fridays. That was their law. But they did not enforce that law on people who were not Roman Catholic. Of course if you went into Catholic owned diner on Friday you might have a hard time finding a hamburger so you might have to go somewhere else.
I know there are some Southern Baptists who do not drink alcohol and you would probably have a hard time finding alcohol in their homes or in their businesses. That is their choice. You just have to remember to go somewhere else.
Should they also be whipping gay muslims? How about stoning uppity muslim women who refuse to wear the burqa?
We are told that the 10% (or even 1%) radically violent Islamonazis don't follow "real Islam" yet President Obama thought it important enough to provide the "outcast" Osama Bin Laden with Islamic funeral rites.
So much for the "not really a muslim" dodge.
Let me guess. They cannot create the standard of living in their own backwaters. But they have to come to western countries and impose the very thing that created the backwaters.
Can’t even use alcohol to clean the wound (or as a bacteria killer on hands). Islamists in hospitals are exempted from sanitation laws.
They are colonizing with plans to take over the world- just as the Koran demands.
The stupid Brits disarmed themselves. They allowed these worthless Saracen bastards into their country in droves. They deserve their fate.
I know that I am mellowing in my old age, and the rage from the attacks on 9-11 has diminished, but on 9-12 we should have given 48 hrs notice to Mecca, Medina, and Qom, that the cities would be nuked. Islam would have ceased being a problem.
Before, I would have said do it on 9-12 with no warning.
