Well, Stephen, the Republican Party seeks to ostracize white conservatives too. It’s an Affirmative Action hater.

Jim Brown was treated as a god on the Long Island and at Syracuse U. He’s
Just paying at being a aggrieved negro.

I had not seen/read about that. (I do remember the guy coming out though) I used to be quite the sports nut, not so much anymore. I’ll check out the story you referred to.

Stephen Smith is alright. Don’t always agree with him, but he thinks for himself.

When it comes to the African-American community, you have a plethora of individuals. For example, the black population hasn't given the Republican Party more than 15% of its vote since 1964. And anybody who is deemed a black conservative, I am not one of them -- I'm a registered Independent, just to get that out of the way -- but those that I know who are black conservatives are considered pariahs and are ostracized in our communities and it makes absolutely no sense whatsoever.
Thanks i88schwartz.

He said some things about Kobe Bryant since he didnt grow up in Philly, he grew up in Italy, that he was not “ Really black” because he did not grow up in the black community til later on in his life

He can say the exact same thing about Obama, but the problem for Jim Brown is he's just another Obama knee-pad wearing supporter.

That makes him a HYPOCRITE.

I don't much care for his sports commentary, too much of a "remember when I said" and "I told you so" kinda guy.

On this topic though, I'm glad he's speaking out. He's about to get pilloried by his own, but hey .....

Did Jim Brown support Obama, and if so, why, if Obama isn't 'really black'. Brown's comments about Kobe describe Obama perfectly. Obama grew up in a middle class white life, and I don't think he had any experience of the 'black community' until he began his community organizing days.

Brown went off on Kobe (apropos of nothing) for not representin’! and doing the Black power salute like he did back in the day. He thinks Black stars owe it to the world to be left-wing rabble rousers.

GREAT player, passable actor (”Mars Attacks”), commie who hates White people. He did say Obama is “in over his head” so he’s not completely out of his mind.

I think even he managed to lose a lot of respect because of this. He also dredged up that Kobe V. Shaq crap that nobody wants to hear about anymore.

Stephen A. Smith isn’t that politically bright but he’s better than most sports talking heads who choose to spout off about politics, especially considering he’s Black, no reflexive hate towards Republicans.

Jim Brown: Overall, he’s weird.

Stephen A. Smith: Agree with your assessment; loves to hear himself talk.

Kobe V. Shaq: Really, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FkQxB5IoLnE

That’s a good analysis, Stephen A. Smith is “okay” to listen to, he thinks.
