"....Already reeling from criticism over his flawed promise that people who like their health care plans will be able to keep them, Mr. Obama risks further erosion of his credibility if people believe his health care law is cutting into job-based plans they figured were safe...

When you add in the cost of insurance plus the deductible, most will pay 10 thousand or more before co pays and maximum out of pocket kicks in. Whoever dreamed up these plans must have been working with the Insurance companies, because they are gonna make a killing.

I don't believe most people understand the effect a deductable has.
You could probably get the best insurance coverage in the world for a mere $50/month................if you were willing to tke an $80,000/year deductable. - Tom

Scary thing is that the Dems know it and have been preparing for years in case that happens.

I guess we’ll just have accept our side winning some for the wrong reasons. RINOs will clean up.

his flawed promise
The WaPost's writer couldn't bring himself to call Obama's "flawed promise" what everyone over the age of 6 knows it actually was, a flat-out monstrous lie.

Like Jimmy Carter's "incomplete success" when our rescue mission failed in Iran.

One of our younger relatives is an exec for a medium size company west of the Mississippi.

A few months ago, he had a meeting to discuss future wages / benefits with the union thug reps, who represent the skilled labor employees of the company.

He walked out of the meeting after a few minutes. Their first demand was total coverage of health insurance benefits after 2014 when their contracts ran out.

Besides that, they wanted overtime for anytime any work day that went over 8 hours. Now, they get overtime after a 40 hour work week or the option of paid time off for the overtime when that job is over re overtime needs. That often results in 4 day work weeks for many after their overtime. Their workers like that, and their union thug chiefs hate it.

He refused to discuss the above with them, and reminded them that demands like these have forced companies into non union work places.

"The public at large is a mass of stupid sheep."

And the remaining public which likes to talk a big game will do squat to stop this. Might as well rip the 1st and 2nd amendments from the constitution because they are useless right now.

John Boehner should be horsewhipped for undermining conservatives. He isn’t one one so he doesn’t care.

Lefties are trying to make the insurance companies and the employers the scapegoats

so their precious Marxist healthcare system isn’t blamed.

Nevertheless, we didn’t have to read the bill to know it was a disaster

Those of us who actually read the bill knew of this three years ago.

Thank you Betsy McCaugley, Dr David Janda, Dr Rob Steele and others who did and pointed out the components.

Many of us could see the cause and effect, do "X" it will mean "Y" change in your life personally or financially. With a modicum of knowledge of real life and commons sense we could see it.

Listening to one of the talkers yesterday, the caller an MD was lamenting her colleagues are so smart and are stupid at the same time, by supporting Obamacare, Some are waking up, and they finally see what a mess it is and don't like it.

Little late IMHO, and their support and vote will have ramifications on their career, practices,, and our lives for years to come, all of which are not good...

“believe”? my buttinsky-—who thot their employer plan was safe from deathcare? At the most the effects are delayed. Who has their head so far up and out of the daylight that they think they are safe from Kenyancare? Even feral workers are going to eventually get their skins in the game. By definition there can’t be two levels of care within Kenyan care-—just gonna take a little longer for the protected classes to get their share of grief.

I’m beginning to see that Obamacare wasn’t so much about helping the uninsured,

but more about harming the insured.

“-—helping the uninsured”? Nah, welcome to the inner sanctum. Altho there was much mouth-shooting about getting people newly insured it was obvious from the start that is not where the emphasis is. Have you heard a single account of how successful and happy a previously uninsured person is? And the requirements to get from uninsured to insured are clearly designed to make it extremely difficult to make the shift. And health history REALLY DOES affect whether/how much you’re gonna get hit. Do you know smokers pay more? just as an example? Remember how we were all told there would be no discrimination?

My insurance premium went up 93%. (to keep the same coverage...double the deductible though)

Nothing affordable about this abomination.

Some people are like that. While Bush was in office he probably ridiculed Bush because he was "so stupid", but now cannot explain why the "brilliant" Obama hasn't fix it.
