As we consider our broken immigration system, our elected officials must also examine the root causes of migration here. Lawmakers must work with other countries so they create jobs that will keep people in their homelands. ..I wonder when Bishop Michael Pfeifer, thinks we should do ,something about the millions of Americans unemployed ?Does he really believe law makers have plenty of time to help Mexico create jobs and at the same time he does not factor in how greatly Americans are suffering from being out of work.If the Bishop has time to tell America what to do about illegal immigration, how about he submit some plans to Mexico, telling them what they need to do ?I would like to hear his comments on Mexico's immigration laws about how they can start being about hard work, opportunity, responsibility, sharing, caring and compassion.

Of course the Catholic church is for amnesty and open borders becasue a large percentage of Mexicans are Catholic. It’s all about the money in the plate.

Hey! Bishop!

Mexico is a FAR wealthier country than the United States, but all the wealth is concentrated into the hands of a few oligarchical families who have controlled it for centuries.

If you are truly concerned about "the poor," why don't you get Old Mexico to do some "redistributing" instead of participating in and encouraging the destruction of the US middle class?

The Bishop’s position boils down to “butts in the pews and Tithe.”

His position certainly is not scriptural or Holy in nature.

The immigration system isn’t broken.

We just have crooks and shysters in office who violate the Constitution, ignore the law, and use their oaths of office to wipe themselves.

This applies to both parties although democrats are more blatant and in-your-face about it.

As we consider our broken immigration system

According to the Pew Hispanic Center, there are about 11.2 million unauthorized persons residing in the United States.

Ten or eleven years ago, during the Bush administration, we were told that there were 12 million illegals here and another 1 million were coming in every year.

So where did the extra ten million disappear to?
Don't try to tell us that all ten million left voluntarily because of the Obama economic depression.

The truth is that there are probably closer to 25 million illegals here - and maybe many more than that.

Another Catholic bishop campaigning for more pro-abortion voters. Immigrants vote about 70% for pro-abortion politicians.

And those pro-abortion politicians are the ones who are ramping up persecution of the Church.

Were your parents or grandparents immigrants?

End of discussion.
