It’s unfair and dispicable.

If A&E can fire Phil for saying this, why can the bakery in CO not refuse to bake a cake for the lesbians?

Is A&E required to air any and all opinions?

Do you remember the Dixie Chick's record label dropping them, or people suggesting that? I recall people wanting to boycott their sponsors or not wanting them on other shows or concert venues, though. If the gay supporters here simply did that, the fuss wouldn't be much.

I really don't think your comparison holds, AutumnRaine. You really need to rethink your words.

It’s about fascism and its institutionalized constraints on speech. Less notable personalities are regularly persecuted and pay for expressing what we consider normal speech. This is indeed a freedom of speech issue.

>> What is there to discuss?

Contractual obligations.

Ask Monty Python about them ...

In the end WE decide. The Dixie Chicks learned that...this one may also show our feelings with a completely reversed situation.

Thanks. I’m not dismissing the contractual and Constitutional arguments. I’m instead speaking to the effective outcome of the agenda that’s making it difficult to publicly differentiate such things as the vulva and anus.

So does this mean that I can now fire my employees for their religious beliefs? And better yet not hire them in the first place?

Their right Their right its not a Constitutional issue its just an employer A&E firing an employee for expressing his religious believes on his own time in his own form.

If I were Phill I would sue the pants off A&E under their beloved “civil rights act of 1964”. Liberals should enjoy a little burning in their own totalitarian stew.

For the record when someone calls me a homophobe I just tell them im sorry I don’t share their affection for sodomy, they will have to find someone else to have ‘fun’ with.

Well, basically... we're at battle with evil in this country, and evil doesn't fight fair. I believe decent people should be fighting this sort of thing to the end, but frankly, I think this country's going to keep going down a lot more before there's any sort of re-awakening.

I couldn’t agree more with the Famly’s position. They don’t need the show, but they do need God, and freedom of speech like all the rest of us.

I look forward to seeing the Robertson family on anther God fearing network.

If A&E wants to make an issue of contractual obligations then Willie, Jase and Si can simply go to other media outlets, repeat the same views of Scripture that Phil did and say to A&E “your move.”

This is a freedom issue.

A&E will be going out of general business along with the rest of the cable industry. They will eventually serve the gay community only.

The nice things about the Robertsons: they love each other, and have a deep faith in God and Jesus Christ, which they openly express.

Gay lesbian transgendered bisexual creeps do not want those values aired in public.

Exactly! This is a blatant violation of the civil rights act with respect to religion.

He is not oppressed. He is just going to have end his business relationship with the A&E networks.

No, but A&E isn’t being held responsible for not airing words from the GQ interview. They are also free to edit out parts of the family’s conversations; however, there must be limits, because when Phil brought up his displeasure with editing “Jesus” out of the prayers, they immediately started putting it back in. This tells me the responsibility goes both ways.

I disagree. Radio stations refused to play their records. An no need for snark.

“Alot of people felt differently around here when it was tbe Dixie Chicks. But in this case the DD will come out on top.”

There is a big difference between expressing a political believe that is at odds with your base and expressing a religious believe that is probably 100% agreement with 90%+ of your base.

I don’t think there are many if any Sodomy loving liberals watching the Duck’s. The only involved party that really has a problem is A&E and they should loses the show.

The Duck commanders can and should go to a different network that actually likes what they stand for and have to say. This is their brand christian family values.
