There’s an old saw about cooking frogs: Place them in cool water, and then turn up the heat. The frogs fail to respond to gradual temperature change, and by the time the water gets near the boiling point, the frogs are unable to jump out and save themselves.
That is what President Obama and the Democrats have had in mind with Obamacare, which they planned would lead to single-payer, socialized medicine. However, their incompetent “chefs” have placed ordinary citizens directly in a boiling health care caldron. Americans are reacting with extreme reproach, and it is progressivism and the Democratic Party that is getting burned.
Recently, 39 Democratic members of the House joined 222 Republicans in supporting Rep. Fred Upton’s Keep Your Health Plan Act of 2013 to restore canceled health insurance policies. Clearly, those Democrats are scared to death of the fallout of Obamacare and the plummeting poll numbers for Democrats and Mr. Obama. At a more recent Democratic chiefs-of-staff meeting, one of them said that if Obamacare isn’t fixed, “this could be the demise of the Democratic Party.”
However, the most earth-shattering observation was still to come. Political commentator Mark Shields, possibly the most ardent and articulate apologist for Mr. Obama and his presidency, raised the stakes when he acknowledged recently that if “they can’t fix Obamacare, it will mark the end of the progressive era in America.” That may be most profound, prophetic and significant liberal confession thus far in the 21st century — and it could mark the end of the modern liberal hundred-years war on America. This philosophical war was commenced in 1913 with the inauguration of President Woodrow Wilson and adoption of the federal income tax and the Federal Reserve System....

It IS the end of the Prog era. LIVers have learned that voting their precious ‘feelings’ just landed them NO soccer, NO ballet, and certainly no entertainment or restaurant dinners.

Some of you know that I've predicted that very thing for months within these pages. It's still true.
Obamacare is doing so much damage to the American people, that its net effects will result in the fall of the DemoSocialist party for all time, if not repealed in its entirety.
Apparently, the old bulls in the Donk party also know this, and are now so panic stricken, they're actually saying it out loud.

The bright light is the inevitable collapse of the progressive, DemoSocialist party and their entire agenda, due to the disastrous effects of Obamacare on the American people.
The only way out for them is a full repeal of that abomination, but Dear Reader has said that it won't happen while he's still President. He's virtually assuring his party's demise.
The way to stop Obama is to not play the game. Don’t sign up. Organize your tax situation so you don’t get refunds so that the IRS can’t get their “taxes” (penalities). Go to cash only medical services. If something really bad happens go to the Emergency room. 12 million illlegal aliens can’t be wrong. If enough people don’t play Obabacare will wither on the vine.

Progressivism is the wrong term to descript Obama’s policies. They are pure Marxism, from Marx/Engels to Alinsky, Quentin Young to Bill Ayers.

9.Combination of argriculture with manufacturing industries; gradual abolition of the distinction between town and country (Now being advocated by several leftist groups/studies/universities to force people out of the suburbs into high-rise cities, against their will and the destruction of suburbia as we know it), by a more equable distribution of the population over the country (i.e. the aformentioned destruction of the suburbs and merging them into the cities).
10. Free education for all children in public schools.... (We have free education for all children in public schools - paid for by our taxes).

The end of Progressives? Have they not heard? The Hildabeast,the next Democrat candidate for President is a non apologetic PROGRESSIVE!

And it truly might come down to that, a lot depends on the 2014 elections and their results. We’ll know more as the next few month’s progress and the smell of fear gets even more prevalent in D.C.
