My response would be that the current dismal state of the economy, which is devasting lower income people, is a direct result of democrat policies and that if those mttonheads really want to help the working poor they would stop trying to help the working poor because

Chris, is it racist to point out that anyone who believes that raising the minimum wage would enrich "the poor" is as stupid as anyone who would believe that bailing water out of one end of the swimming pool and dumping it back in at the other end (spilling about 10 percent of it in the process) would raise the water level in the pool?
