The Guy Who Created "Duck Dynasty" Starred In A Movie About Gay Porn
buzz feed ^ | 12.19 | kate arthur

A decade before Scott Gurney created Duck Dynasty, he starred as a gay porn star in a 2001 movie called The Fluffer, an unmentioned but delightful fact in the background of the show’s recent conflagration over Phil Robertson’s homophobic comments to GQ. But it’s not a secret either; The Fluffer, which was an independent film that played at the 2001 Toronto International Film Festival, is right there on Gurney’s IMDb page.

I called Gurney Productions — which Gurney founded in 2005 with his wife, Deirdre — to ask for a comment. I was told no one gets connected to Scott on the phone, and I should send an email. (I did.) A spokesman for A&E also didn’t immediately return an email requesting a comment.

Gurney’s character in The Fluffer is gay-for-pay and a meth addict. He becomes the object of obsession for a male film student who gets a job as his on-set fluffer. It’s dark! It was directed by Wash West and Richard Glatzer.

Here’s one of several YouTube odes to The Fluffer

Gee, a gay actor in Hollywood. Who would ever have believed it.

Next your going to be telling me there was gambling at Rick’s Place in Casablanca.

Is this supposed to shock people or change their opinions?

And just how is this revelation supposed to taint the people who are opposed to such behavior? It doesn’t. But, being associated with the seedy underside of gay life in gory detail isn’t exactly helpful to A&E, they’re trying to mainstream it, not expose the most disgusting aspects. Leftist fail. Again.

Also, the guy who wrote the article for GQ, is finding that gay outrage articles may be good for business.
Here’s another of his;

You see a trend here with the media and the demon left? They know conservatives have one fatal flaw that can be repeatedly exposed. This flaw is simply that, like anyone, they are not perfect. Since conservatives hold themselves to ideals, standards of right and wrong, they will always look like hypocrites to the media.

I doubt Duck Dynasty merchandise would have sold out this Christmas if not for this spectacle. I would say there is a whole lot of profiting going on right over Phil’s comments.

I had never watched the show and have tuned in to see what it is all about..

I believe you have hit the proverbial nail on the head. This was supposed to be one more venue to get the sheeple to laugh at and deride traditional American values. Instead, they inadvertently let slip a window into a world where the kind of repressed feelings most people have for what is right and natural is reinforced.

“...homophobic comments...”

He who controls the meaning of words gets to control the outcome of the discussion. Since Jesus tells us directly in Revelation 22:15 that people who practice sexual immorality cannot qualify for eternal life in His kingdom, then by this usage Jesus was a homophobe, and anyone who accepts what He says is also a homophobe.

We are thus being coerced to choose between the beliefs and values that are acceptable to the popular culture and those acceptable to the Savior. There was a time in the history of this country when the popular culture was not at war with the values of Jesus.

What upsets the folks at GLAAAAD more, that God has been telling humanity for thousands of years that homosexual behavior is a sin, or that Phil Robertson was so uninhibited
about to fully quote from one of the passages that declared it to be sin? I think they seek to invert the sin: that making reference to God’s opinion about the sin is itself the “sin” of “homophobia”.

In the Gospel of Matthew, in chapter 15 verse 6, there was an incident where people had “voided the commandment of God by your tradition”, that is another way of saying what is socially correct behavior. But this has been the effort of liberals (er, “progressives”) for many years. We are beyond the stage in the 1960’s where liberals (er, “progressives”) were demanding free speech. Liberals have now gotten sufficiently in power in government, media and entertainment that they can control what speech is allow and what is forbidden. We find that the “free speech” they demanded was only free as long as it conformed to liberal ideology. Now it is conservatives who must demand free speech.

The twist is that liberals always wanted to go beyond speech that was free. They wanted speech that changed society. Notice how much liberal energy is going into destroying social norms especially for sexuality. There is now severe sanction against “other-ism” as well. Liberals are yearning for any society, social structure and social norms except those based on the Judeo-Christian ethic and values. That is to say, based on values that people find in the Bible.

What values do the folks at GLAAAD uphold and put forth as something I should adopt, teach my children and work to advance? Their values are sexual chaos. In their value system, sex is about anything and everything except conceiving children and raising them to be responsible and productive human beings. Their values would lead to the death of humanity.

Indeed, it has already started:

Deaths will outnumber births in Spain by 2017, experts say
http://www.lifesitenews.com/news/deaths-will-outnumber-births-in-spain-by-2017-experts-say

If today’s liberals are anything, they are above all the most selfish people in many generations, for they are paying for their busy work by massive borrowing from the children who they are busy making sure will never be born. That is not “sustainable”.

No, but if you go to the men's room at the bus stop, you're sure to get hooked right up.

It is only with the revelation that they had a hit on their hands that A&E did any soul searching at all with respect to their belief.

Probably the same rationale/outcome as the shows with the Duggar family.

You are right about that. A&E isn’t cancelling the show. They’re going ahead with their marathon in the hopes that the show will be as popular as ever and they keep their money from the advertising. The Robertsons are being who they’ve always been. It’s A&E who should be ashamed for making them stars on the one hand and trying to shame Phil Robertson for being himself on the other.
