As Nick Gillespie noted this morning, some of the criticism of the horrible Obamacare enrollment ads featuring the young hipster in pajamas has some subtextual nonsense tied to perceptions of the sexual orientation and identity of the model.
It’s particularly silly because nobody who has had any experience dealing with actual gay men would have picked that man to sell Obamacare. Here is how Obamacare is being sold to actual gay men:

My thoughts exactly. I saw it Thurs. night, & it stuck to me like gum the whole weekend. It is truly the most bizarre thing I have ever seen in my life.
Gay self-hatred at its finest. Apparently YouTube suspended all comments; I can only imagine. Probably this organization realized how they shot themselves in the foot; this is beyond embarrassing. (That lady singer, though she's got a nice voice, will probably never find work again.)
Also profoundly insulting. Being Jewish, I don't celebrate Christmas, but I couldn't help wondering: are any Christians offended by that alone? And these are people who scream for sensitivity. What about sensitivity toward religious people?

In fact, I think if you ever think about taking another cruise, first find out the history of the ship and if it’s had a convention of this sort on it.

The days of innocence are so far behind us.
Last night I dropped someone at the airport, on the way home I stopped at a convenience store for gas and an item or two, Parked next to me was the Alaskan version of pajamas boy, jacket, pajamas, and Xtra tuff boots. As I walked past him he saw the way I looked at him an shrunk back into his imported whatever. Now I have done roommates favors before when they brought something home, I have had many an embarrassing to be honest over a full life, but what sort of person would allow themselves to be punked out the door dressed like that, I bet the girl did it.
I want his Xtra tuff boots and I’m an older lady who lives in NW WA. Hope he reads this!
