Phil Robertson, the patriarch of A&E's Duck Dynasty clan who was suspended from his hit reality series on Dec. 18 following some incendiary comments about gay people, won't be put on hiatus after all.

A&E got a week of free publicity.
They are expecting the new season opener to have a significantly large increase in viewership.
A&E is laughing all the way to the bank.
I wonder how much of the merchandise A&E owns, if any. I have seen things like they do own some of it, but not anything with a good source.
If A&E does own something, yeeesh—way to stick it to the man. Supposedly all that duck dynasty stuff was flying off the shelves just in time for Christmas.

You realize now the sky is the limit when it comes to his contract?
According to the window dressing, the family will now be promoting “tolerance” and A&E will run PSA’s across their platform (i.e. during the show) promoting sexual deviants.

Welcome back? Robertson never left. A&E showed episodes with Robertson in all of them.

He certainly will be followed closely on his comments from this point forward. Will be interesting to see if Phil pushes the topic and force A&E’s into a corner.
I’m reminded of what Vladimir Lenin said to his Bolshevik minions:
“Probe with bayonets. If you encounter mush, proceed. If you encounter steel, withdraw.”
Call me stupid, but,is it not the idea of a REALITY SHOW to show and hear what the people do and think?
It sounds to me like it means “We at A&E have a lot to learn from the Robertsons about tolerance.”
