Fed-Up Veteran Tells Paul Ryan What He Thinks of ‘Bipartisan’ Budget Deal
The Blaze ^ | Dec. 26, 2013 | Jason Howerton

Posted on 12/27/2013 9:39:41 PM PST by LeoWindhorse

Chuck Wooten, a military veteran, was already ticked off about Rep. Paul Ryan (R-Wis.) and Sen. Patty Murray (D-Wash.) pushing through the “bipartisan” budget deal, which includes cuts to veterans’ retirement benefits. So when he got a fundraising email from Ryan’s office asking for money, he decided to really let the Wisconsin congressman know how he feels. The scathing open letter, posted on Facebook last week, is going viral — and you only have to read the first few sentences to know why.

“It is a strategy to cause no harm until 2014 elections.”

Too bad he just lost conservatives ANY military votes that may have been counted. On the other hand, the democrats just may let military votes count in 2014.

Most of the Republicans in Congress are sellout punks.

If you believe the military people will put their faith in prez Zero and Hillary and their cohorts, you are having a very bad dream.

Show me a party which can win elections and is more conservative than the republicans, and I will jump in with both feet.

But if anything I have learned in seven decades is that never cut your ears off to spite your face. I follow coach Lombardi’s dictum, winning is not everything, it is the only thing. I do not throw out the good over the pure.

You are right on. But how do we get there in 2014, the first national election? Wishful thinking will not get us there. Show me a realistic and practically possible alternative and I will join your brigade.

I don't think we'd be any worse off with the dems totally in control and accountable. What we have now is a whole lot of sellout backstabbers who talk the talk but are actually all about gross profits for their puppet masters.

Case in point....Obamacare. Other case in point...RINOs refuse to take the hint that constitutional conservatives are never going to buy in to the invasion of the US being legalized.

That 2 Trillion dollars in additional debt comes AFTER many future elections, many new congresses, and new presidents.

As you must be well aware, every law passed can be changed if you own the White House or veto proof congress. Neither of that is in the hands of GOP in 2013.

So IMHO Ryan did the best deal which was possible. I like that there will no issues to derail the GOP until 2014 election. I also like that the unemployment benefit time limit has been brought back to historical level.

Oh puleez, if dems take control again with Pelosi, Zero, Hillary, Reid in full control, I am moving to Australia or New Zealand.

If the RINOs keep going the way they are now (with some constitutional conservative influence in DC) you might as well move to Australia NZ, if they'll take you, even if they get in power.

Hint...GWB even when he had control of everything got the ball rolling for Obama.

Millions of us intend to replace progressive republicans in the upcoming primaries. If that fails, then it will be third party time. I will not donate a cent to the republican party unless and until they change. I have worked my butt off for that party and over the many years that I have been active. I have donated just under $180,000 in cash and other donations since the 70's... and I have manned phone banks and walked the neighborhoods. I will not do that again. I also support only conservative candidates directly these days.

I am no longer a republican and I will never again fall for your argument. They (their leadership and behind the scenes controllers) hate me and all voters like me. We must purge the party of these traitorous corporatist/statist socialists or we will go our separate way and your party will never win another national election.

Continued confidence in restoring our freedoms via elections is an example of Einstein's dictum regarding insanity. That isn't to say we shouldn't vote. It is necessary but insufficient. To pretend voting alone can reverse our slide into tyranny is fantasy.

Are you aware of the nascent Article V state amendment convention movement, the constitutional end run around our masters?

I see nothing wrong with your thoughts of replacing liberal republicans in primaries. I do exactly the same when given the opportunity.

Then in general, I usually hold my nose and vote against the even much more liberal democrat who will be nothing but a rubber stamp for the community organizer from south side of Chicago.

So how is it better for achieving freedom when some voters stayed home and thereby helped the community organizer from south side of Chicago win re-election?

Obamacare has reduced my freedoms more than any legislation in many decades. My premiums jumped $1800 per year which will all come out of my discretionary spending. That increase is far greater than anything in last 40 years.

GWB was a big disappointment. I am looking forward to a Ted Cruz, Rand Paul or Mike Lee type president who will not go along to get along.

Again, let me emphasize my point...voting for 3rd party at the present time will change NOTHING, ZERO, NADA.

Just ask Perot and all the other 3rd party losers what power they have to change anything.

Our system is based on winning elections. When you lose elections, you have no power to change any laws. Just ask Akin, Mourdock, Buck, O’Donnell, Angle etc what laws have they changed to increase our freedoms.

Follow coach Lombardi...winning is the ONLY thing.
