Yieks. My sister, brother in law and kids live there. Although they live in the burbs so hopefully that will stay safe. The house is huge….6600 square feet. I just saw it for the first time over Christmas. I could not believe it. In Maryland our house is less then half of that and triple the cost of their home. It is amazing.

Exactly right.

Indianapolis has seen 140 homicides to its 822,000 citizens for a homicide rate of 17 per 100,000 people.

Meanwhile, my state with no gun laws had 1.3 murders per 100,000 people in 2012. Clearly gun laws are the answer.

Vermont should be the most dangerous place on the planet, but regardless of gun control laws, guess what Indy & Chicago have that Vermont doesn’t?

A bumper crop of criminals.

Indy has seen approximately 10 percent more homicides per capita than the Windy City.

Per capita isn't really an accurate measurement of crime. In Chicago's case, there's many neighborhoods that are perfectly safe, and a small handful that are literal war zones.

Correct me if I’m wrong, but don’t both cities have a serious problem with most crimes being committed by, umm, Obama’s peeps?

No, in the case of Indianapolis, it’s drug gangs of Mexican origin.

My guess is that Chicago is finding creative ways to non-report homicides.

No proof, just a guess.

Unfortunately, Indy’s mayor Greg Ballard is a Republican, one of the few to hold the mayoralty of a major city. He’s not exactly doing a bang-up job of it...

Not true. Where did you come up with that?

Exactly right.

Indiana is a must issue, open carry state with same day possession on gun sales. Hard to find a more 2A friendly state.

Are you suggesting gun control would prevent this high murder rate?

90% of these homicides are black on black crime "in the community" committed by and perpetrated upon previously convicted felons. The balance are pretty equally dispersed between Hispanics and Caucasians.

If you aren’t murdered, you’ll die from the murderous traffic conditions.
