The United States has increased its financial aid to the Palestinian Authority, but linked this aid to progress in Israeli-Palestinian peace talks, Palestinian news agency Ma'an reported on Wednesday.
The American aid will be increased from $426 million in 2013 to $440 million in 2014, said Maen Rashid Areikat, the head of the PLO delegation in Washington DC.
Despite the increase, the 2014 US aid is significantly lower than previous years. In 2011, the US provided the PA $545 million in aid money, and $495 in 2012.
The United States Agency for International Development (USAID) provides funding for economic projects, security, judiciary needs and promotion of government transparency.
Ahead of the resumption of peace talks, US Secretary of State John Kerry introduced a $4 billion economic plan to revitalize the Palestinian economy.

We are giving away our grandchildren’s wealth through politicians and ensnaring ourselves in other countries problems. We we’re warned about this by our forefathers (ya know, those old, dead white guys that authored that “living document” /liberal mini-rant off).
It’s worse because this number only reflects direct payments. I know the UN gives huge amounts to the PA as well and we are the largest UN donor. The PA is the largest per capita recipient of a multitude of world welfare programs and we donate to all of them.
Now just a cotton pickin’ minit here. Let’s be fair. He did just sign a sweeping defense bill, cracking down on sexual assaults.

BTW, this means that they still get most of the money, but won’t get the increase — and I say that as an inveterate optimist, as Zero and cadre will likely hand over the entire check, and say, we’ll need to see some progress.
The best option is, don’t give them any money, and move the US embassy to Israel into eastern Jerusalem.
If money is sent, the condition would be, a full yearly accounting and audit of what happened to the previous money; a lot of it winds up in Swiss bank acc’ts and whatnot.
