Oh my, how I could go on and on about this story, but I shall ask my fellow XY compatriots to read this clap trap and ask for your unbridled comments....PLEASE see the article for the authors "justifications"

Cheers

Hanna Rosin is the founder of Double X, a womens website connected to the online magazine Slate, and is the author of The End of Men, which presents a new world order of female dominance. ... Hanna Rosin was born in Israel and ... comes from a long line of matriarchs, women who either ruled over their husbands or ran away from them. She ... lives in Washington, D.C. with her husband and their three children.
"Her husband"? Poor schmuck, geez...

ever notice how most divorced/single women are liberals ?
To: Farnsworth
Hanna Rosin, the author of the male obsolescence piece with the provocative title, is married to an XYer named David Plotz! The verb, “to plotz” in Yiddish means, “to collapse or be beside oneself with frustration, annoyance, or other strong emotion.” Is Mr. Plotz plotzing? A cursory glance at their bios suggests they both currently make a living from provocative, cute approaches to established topics. Plotz blogs the Bible. Given her take on today’s state of manhood, it’s just as well that Hanna likely does not have seven sons, like her Biblical namesake.

Dear Misguided Broads,
When the electricity goes out and the wolves show up at the door it won’t be Pajama Boy who saves you.
It will be a smelly hairy man with a firearm, a knife and a foul temper.
And you will realize that all the things about us you considered faults were actually advantages.
And you will thank us.
Sincerely,
Men

Men aren’t obsolete. We are just faster and better at assessing changing conditions and altering our behavior to be more successful. This author might as well be talking about how longbows are obsolete since crossbows came into use, while everyone else is debating .223 vs .309 (or 40 watt phased plasma lasers).

We’ll see how this all works out when no men are working and the single moms still want their food stamps.

The title says “Men are Obsolete, We are witnessing the end of men”
If we are witness the end of men, wouldn’t we be witnessing the end of women as well? There would be no men to create children to grow up as men or women.

Oh my! She has hit below the gut. Angry comments like all or most of the ones I’ve read means there is truth in the accusation. Is there nobody out there who can fess up in loving their women and can’t live without them?
There are few woman who look beautiful without make-up, so do you want to pretend you have a beautiful woman but underneath she is plain? Do you not care about the goodness of her heart?
I must say that I feel sorry for your sort. Are you made in God’s image? Jesus is God. Shame on you for these aggressive comments.

Incidentally my brother-in-law (who is conservative) married a woman last year, who would agree with every word of this article. Not surprisingly to me, he became an increasingly unhappy person since last year.

Modern feminism has turned the majority of women into insufferable b!+ches.

Her English is incoherent and her arguments are illogical. Indeed, statements 3, 4, and 5 are not even “reasons”; a reason would present a cause for her thesis. Her statements, which are ill supported by any evidence, do not even back up her thesis if true.

Yet I fail to see equal numbers of women working as construction workers, firemen, maintenance workers, welders, farmers and other jobs on which civilization is built. Or even the programming, computer networking, computer troubleshooting or cable laying that is the backbone of the internet.
While women moving into the service sector, low skill manufacturing, and clerical work improve the economy and their image, it doesn't replace the need for the hard physical labor. What Mike Rowe calls Dirty Jobs and the backbone of civilization - and they are overwhelmingly done by men. We've done two generations a dis-service by demeaning skilled physical labor, which cannot be done by robots. And work such as repairing diesel engines, plumbing repair, electrical work, assembling servers, masonry, truck drivers, oil rig workers and such, cannot be done by someone who walks across the border with a fifth grade education. More education, training and language skills are required. We'd improve our economy, deteriorating infrastructure and unemployment rate by moving a lot of under-employed college grads into those fields - and treating them as well as those who have a four year degree instead of assuming they are the dirty lower class.
