Wasn’t the rumor that The Rev. Wright’s church put Barry and Mooch together to hide his gayness. I read that they picked her because her marriage prospects looked pretty dismal.

By and large the incumbent Republicans have given this issue away now. Your argument is more than just sound and probably close to- if not a majority view. But it is UNREPRESENTED in political DC.

Generally, I agree with you. The GOP is beholden to its corporate paymasters. I will say however, that Jeff Sessions and Steve King, among others have been excellent on the issue.

As for Paul specifically, open borders squares with a libertarian view. That’s all there is to it. It’s one of the many and several reasons I’ll never align with libertarians.

Right on point. The libertarians believe in the free flow of labor even across borders. They fail to understand the social, economic, and cultural impact on American citizens.

Dismal? You mean there isn’t a big attraction to the angry Black female by men? Who would have thought?

The 15-day Hawaiian holiday vacation is over for President Barack Obama and daughters Sasha and Malia.

The president and his daughters arrived back at the White House on Sunday morning after an overnight flight.

Michelle Obama is staying behind on the islands as a birthday present from her husband.

I almost agree entirely, except I always think of Kerry as more of the Herman Muenster type....given Herman was a big buffoon and all.

This just doesn’t pass the smell test. I guess she needs to rest up for the birthday gala they will, no doubt, be throwing at the WH.

I guess the thrill of her beautiful biceps and clothes sense is not keeping enough kool-aiders in line, so a story that she is sexually attractive (to someone!) is floated.

I don’t buy it!!

So okay one of my missions in life is to investigate ALL laws that political class tries to foist off on us, don’t know how but I somehow changed TWO laws, yeah, locally, but I DID IT! All it took was a citizen showing up and questioning these people so I shall be this citizen.

My local Rep is sponsoring a new law that will....I will phrase it as best I can, please indulge.....disallow secret compartments in vehicles.

This has something to do with drug running and I read of an example in Ohio where a guy got arrested just for having a secret compartment in his car. Understand he had NO drugs or illegal stuff, just that daggone secret compartment.

My rep sponsoring this has been trying to calm me down on Facebook but the hell with it, he has a constituent thing on the second Tuesday of every month, local bagel shop, dear Lord in the middle of nite at seven in the AM. But I’m going to show up because I want to understand this thing.

Guy’s pretty good, a cop but a good Republican....I got come issues with him.

I think it’s time him and I meet. He’s doing everything he can to calm me....but hey, I really like those bagels.

Anybody know anything about this? If I may insert my query between the Sunday shows.....what is this law?

I just hate that they keep passing laws that WE have to live under. This one citizen ain’t standing still for it.

For they WILL read the bill before it passes.

Possibly - she could have been ticked at him (pictures indicated she was) because of his lack of demeanor rather than his looking somewhat flirtatious. Though IF he is really Bathhouse Barry (as reported) and IF she is having an affair w a SS dude, it gives them more time together as well as Obummer w Reggie baby.

BTW - Spoiler Alert re CNN State of the Union:

Candy Crowley: If I’m Unemployed or on Minimum Wage, ‘Why Would I Become Republican?’
NewsBusters ^ | January 5, 2014 | 10:08 | Noel Sheppard

Posted on Sunday, January 05, 2014 7:33:37 AM by Hoodat

On CNN’s State of the Union Sunday, host Candy Crowley asked a question of Gov. Scott Walker (R-Wisc.) that should offend people on both sides of the aisle.

“If I am an unemployed American…or if I am a minimum wage worker… why would I become a Republican?” (video follows with transcript and commentary):

(video link)

CANDY CROWLEY: If I am an unemployed American and I hear from Republicans that, “Yeah, you know, we should go ahead and do that provided we do the following three things,” and it’s a caveat approval of extending those [unemployment] benefits, or if I am a minimum wage worker and I find, I see Republicans who say, “You know what? It’s artificial, it messes with the marketplace, it might mean some teens can’t get into the job market,” why would I become a Republican? How do you message that in any way to reach out to those who are disinclined to sign up for the Republican Party?

Doesn’t Crowley know that she indicted the Democratic Party as one that is basically buying votes?

So someone that’s currently unemployed or on minimum wage must support politicians that promote policies that hurt the very job creation that might lead to them having better lives?

And if Republicans aren’t willing to support such failed policies, it behooves such an individual to be a Democrat thereby potentially condemning him or herself to mediocrity and possibly lifetime government dependence?

Clearly, Crowley has forgotten that in 1980, a great deal of unemployed and minimum wage workers voted for Ronald Reagan because they realized Democratic policies weren’t helping them.

As you would expect, Walker was ready for Crowley’s socialist view, and expertly countered it: . .

Sounds more like a birthday present to her husband. Who would want to be around her for more than 10 mins?

Lots of action on Face the Nation; I missed Harry Reid but the panel was shocked that Harry has no plans for comity in 2014. He ripped republicans and TPers 5 times within the interview.

Panel takes this to mean that populism (income inequality, unemployment extensions, immigration, 'we-care-about-you-and-Republicans-don't' issues will be the Dems playbook in '14. ANYTHING but Obamacare.

One other gem from Peggy Noonan; she called NY Mayor de Blasio a Sandinista. Schieffer objected, Noonan corrected to clarify as "Sandinista supporter". LOL

This concept is doctrine for democrats. A caller to cspan this morning said the same thing, at length: Why would the poor in red states vote "against their own interest" as they elect Republicans.

So - taking more money from taxpayers, aka government, is the primary reason for the 'poor' to vote.

The idea that voting for persons who will bring more jobs to their locality (or stop the outflow of jobs) is never even mentioned.

I assume you saw ALL the pics of nobama’s encounter. Many lamestream outlets left off the last picture which showed that nobama and the Wookie had traded seats and the blond was then looking the other way.

What a riot. How embarrassing for America!

"6 months off"
well..he might as well "survive" on welfare, that 6 months
is a guaranteed "dark mark" on a professional resume.
I did that (unemployment) caring (cancer) for my dad,
I never recovered. I presumed they (employers) felt; I was lazy.
:-/
