MSNBC host Melissa Harris-Perry made a tearful apology to Mitt Romneys family on her show Saturday, after she and a panel poked fun at a photo of the former Republican presidential candidate with his wife and 21 grandchildren by zeroing in on his adopted African-American grandson.
"Whatever the intent was, the reality is that the segment proceeded in a way that was offensive, and showing the photo in that context, of that segment, was poor judgment. So without reservation or qualification, I apologize to the Romney family," said the anchor at the open of her show, "Melissa Harris-Perry."
Harris-Perry became emotional as she went on to apologize to all "other families formed through transracial adoption," saying, "I am deeply sorry that we suggested that interracial families are in any way funny or deserving of ridicule."
She highlighted her own interracial background, as the daughter of an African-American man and a white Mormon woman. But, she said, families are always "off limits," and the Romneys' grandchildren should never have been a topic of discussion.

It doesn’t change what’s in her heart and she exposed it for all to see.
There’s no plank in my eye when it comes to treating the entire world as a race hustle.
Thanks for the ____ words.
It’s a world of sin, yes.
You aren’t excused.
By whom? You?
And you displayed what was in your heart too. I guess that makes everything even steven.
Whoops, not on God’s scales.
By God. By reality.
Well, there you’ve gone and done it. You see that you’re meting out when, and when not, God is excusing things. (I’m using your word ‘excuse’ but you probably are implying forgiveness. My God is not an ‘excuser.’
She did EXACTLY what she wanted to do.
She is only sad because she got busted for doing it.
She is in an organization she likes.
Yep, just calling it like I see it. It’s not judging when someone tells you all about themselves with words or deeds.
How is what is said in your graphic image acceptable when Harris-Perry’s and the other MSNBC panelist’s hateful comments not?
How the hell do you know? We've been going through this crap with liberals for 50 years now and it's caused a lot of death and destruction. If after all these years a person is still race-hustling and causing all the pain that it has caused for all these decades I sincerely doubt their goodness. The good people have turned from this a long time ago. If she were truly sorry she would make a public declaration of a change of mind. Until she does that, she's still the enemy and people are dying because of actions from her and people like her.
Liberals like Melissa are hateful insensitive cruel attacking intolerant people who attack anyone who doesn’t subscribe to their socialistic marxist ideology. Notice Melissa isn’t bashing the Hollywood phoneys who adopt children of another race. Unfortunately for Melissa, and her network overall, Americans can see their bigotry.
!!!!!!!!!!!!!! BUMP!!!!!!!!!!!
Crocodile tears.
It is amazing how many of our friends have grandchildren of mixed race heritage. It is not mentioned when they talk about the grandkids. They love them all. Harris did not very sincere in her apology.
OMG, "bulbous forehead" is hate speech?!I could maybe understand it if she didn't actually possess a bulbous forehead that rivals that of Paul Begala's. . .but for goodness sake. .not only is it HUGE. . .her chosen hairstyle doesn't exactly hide it now does it? By the way, I think the issue is about how mocking a child should be off-limits. Making fun of a baffoon and her bulbous forehead whose hairstyle isn't helping. . .is in total context with the post. . .which, btw, refers to her as a "racist idiot."
"Bulbous forehead" is hate speech but "racist idiot" doesn't even get a mention from you!!??
The Christmas truce is over. . .let the bomb throwing resume. Liberals love it when we go soft and start to shoot our own side. . .hate speech?. .. please.
Whoa! Cracka in da woodpile! So her mother is White, why does she hate White people?
And the phoniness continues.
When neck deep in number two yell for help.
