EXCLUSIVE: Republicans set to deliver big statement on abortion
The Washington Times ^ | January 5, 2014 | Ralph Z. Hallow

In an unprecedented show of opposition to abortion, Republican National Committee Chairman Reince Priebus is delaying the start of the party’s annual winter meeting so he and other committee members can join the March for Life on the Mall, The Washington Times has learned.

Mr. Priebus, a plain-spoken Greek Orthodox lawyer from Wisconsin, will join members of his party’s national committee and thousands of other abortion opponents in the annual right-to-life march scheduled for Jan. 22, the anniversary of the Roe v. Wade decision that declared abortion a constitutional right.

“I saw that there was a real interest among a significant portion of our members to attend and support the Rally for Life,” Mr. Priebus said in an email to The Times. “This is a core principle of our party. It was natural for me to support our members and our principles.”

Mr. Priebus, in his second term as elected chairman of the Republican National Committee, chose to delay the start of the four-day winter meeting of the GOP governing body, also scheduled in Washington, to allow himself and RNC members to attend the march. The delay is unprecedented for a major U.S. political party, several state Republican Party chairmen and other RNC members said in telephone interviews....

We’ve put you in power for how many years? You had the House, Senate, and White house for how many years? Now, when you have no power to affect any change, you tug out our heartstrings. I won’t fall for you. The RNC is pro-abortion.

I won’t speak for “Mr. K” but I will say the GOP has completely duped us on this issue. They’ve talked about being pro-life, yet babies keep dying.

So long the RNC is bipartisan or “reaching out”, they cannot be trusted mental health wise. Having an interlocutor means you naturaly protect them. But the liberal is no such normal interlocutor. It is evil leavening, it grows inside the compromiser and turns him against his parents, children, God, education, normsnod etiquette etc.

The GOPe is sick in the head now.

Abortion and Obamacare are inseparable at this point.

All it amounts to is double dipping for Planned Parenthood. The Dems will drop the contraceptive mandate in its entirety, and increase funding to PP. That's what it's really about.

Quite true. Social issues do matter, and some people base their votes upon them. Republicans ignore those voters at their electoral peril.

This is what the GOP-E is famous for, misdirection.

Still no word/action from the GOP-E on limited Government, defeating and derailing ObamaCare, Gay Marriage, etc.

“Trust but verify”. Never has a Ronald Reagan quote proven more true, especially in this case.

Is it not natural for him to support their candidates like Cuccinelli?

Sounds like a photo op. all those republicans will look like they’re not RINOs under the big “March For Life” banner.

Well .. when the repubs stop listening to the dems (still a big issue), then perhaps the dems’ lie, “you have to support abortion if you want to win elections”, will finally be deep-sixed.

And .. when have the dems ever given the repubs accurate “election” advice .. so the repubs can TAKE AWAY the dems’ voters. So illogical .. it defies sanity.

You sure didn’t pass ant IQ test.

Or perhaps you’ve duped us. You say you’re pro-life, but babies keep dying.

You, not a fake conservative moniker, demshateGod, must have duped us.

We should be thankful that Priebus made such a decision and we should pray that they all make more decisions like this one.

..... The main earth shattering issues facing this country during the Mid-Term elections will be Gay Rights, Women’s Rights, Abortion and Minimum Wage.

yeah... the stupid party needs to do this now, to distract from the disaster which is Obamacare, so as to ensure their self-defeat

" Set in the flagstone walk, was a small figure of a turtle in mosaic with the inscription, Festina lente ("Make, haste slowly"). To casual visitors, the turtle merely added a picturesque touch. Few recognized this unobtrusive little beast as an emblem of Britain's Fabian Society, 'which, since its formation in 1884," has preached and practiced a philosophy of achieving' Socialism by gradual means. "

The above snippet if from the "Fabian Freeway" a book on Fabian Marxism and their gradual approach to Marxism. They know full well that people will not accept major changes, but introduced in small steps much is possible.

Given the current culture, perhaps we should proceed more slowly with our goals. What we see as fundamental others see as extreme. This is a war of attrition and we are losing it because so many on our side will only agree to an all of nothing approach.

The Republicans should be all about defending The Little Sisters of the Poor from the thuggery from Obama, Holder and Sebilous .....you can’t lose defending little nuns.
