WASHINGTON, D.C., January 6, 2014 (LifeSiteNews.com) – In a move that boosts social conservatives in an election year, the Chairman of the Republican National Committee (RNC) has announced that he is delaying the RNC's annual winter meeting so he and others can attend the March for Life.
The Washington Times reports that approximately 20 of the 168 members of the RNC were planning to attend the March before Preibus' announcement. With Preibus' backing, the RNC is now renting buses to take attendees from downtown D.C. to the March, which takes place on Capitol Hill.

My wife went last year. I’m attending this year.
While many on the RNC want to attend for political reasons, there are a few who want to attend because they believe.
While I am glad that they are voicing their support for Pro-Life issues, as they should, this has all the feel of a “Look over there” moment given the current back-stabbing, manipulative so-called leadership of the GOP-E.
I STILL don’t trust the RINOS.
After all, who wouldn’t DEFUND Obamacare? Hmmmm?
Ahh, the devout and devoted RNC is seen oiling the grids for the Christian, Republican base they plan to take out in short order.
When did they EVER accomodate, as a committee wide gesture, the Annual March for Life?
Take it and RUN, marchers. As in “Take it, but then RUN”.
We are going to get popsicles and smarmy, until strike time, so enjoy it while it is short lived....until the primary shoe drops on our neck and our TP candidates.
Anybody buying this gift wrapped charade coming?
If you get the chance be sure to introduce yourself to RNC committeemen from Michigan. Dave Agema and Terri Land are good tea party minded people and Terri is our candidate for the senate seat being vacated by Carl Levin.
I deeply feel that RTL should be a first priority in any political party platform. However, I cannot in good conscience based on our RNC/GOP performance in recent years under the Tyrant believe this is a from-the-heart move.
I believe it’s a move to keep disaffected Republican voters on the GOPe reservation. They will sell this down the river once they get what they want, if any, from the 2014 elections this November.
Cynical? Yes. Right? We shall see.
The Sanctity and Dignity of Human Life
Faithful to the “self-evident” truths enshrined in the Declaration of Independence, we assert the sanctity of human life and affirm that the unborn child has a fundamental individual right to life which cannot be infringed. We support a human life amendment to the Constitution and endorse legislation to make clear that the Fourteenth Amendment’s protections apply to unborn children. We oppose using public revenues to promote or perform abortion or fund organizations which perform or advocate it and will not fund or subsidize health care which includes abortion coverage. We support the appointment of judges who respect traditional family values and the sanctity of innocent human life. We oppose the non-consensual withholding or withdrawal of care or treatment, including food and water, from people with disabilities, including newborns, as well as the elderly and infirm, just as we oppose active and passive euthanasia and assisted suicide.
Republican leadership has led the effort to prohibit the barbaric practice of partial-birth abortion and permitted States to extend health care coverage to children before birth. We urge Congress to strengthen the Born Alive Infant Protection Act by enacting appropriate civil and criminal penalties on healthcare providers who fail to provide treatment and care to an infant who survives an abortion, including early induction delivery where the death of the infant is intended. We call for legislation to ban sex-selective abortions – gender discrimination in its most lethal form—and to protect from abortion unborn children who are capable of feeling pain; and we applaud U.S. House Republicans for leading the effort to protect the lives of pain-capable unborn children in the District of Columbia. We call for a ban on the use of body parts from aborted fetuses for research. We support and applaud adult stem cell research to develop lifesaving therapies, and we oppose the killing of embryos for their stem cells. We oppose federal funding of embryonic stem cell research.
We also salute the many States that have passed laws for informed consent, mandatory waiting periods prior to an abortion, and health-protective clinic regulation. We seek to protect young girls from exploitation through a parental consent requirement; and we affirm our moral obligation to assist, rather than penalize, women challenged by an unplanned pregnancy. We salute those who provide them with counseling and adoption alternatives and empower them to choose life, and we take comfort in the tremendous increase in adoptions that has followed Republican legislative initiatives.

Maybe. GOP is political, and it wants to retain it’s country club lifestyle in the minority with lobbyists money pouring in.
Chamber of Commerce is bombarding them pro Amnesty.
I see it that way.
No matter. Take the victory. The GOP is done. It was over the morning Cornyn wouldn’t answer any of his phones, the day of the defund BOcare vote, the morning Cruz later spoke on the floor. Growing a spine is fro the complainers, too.
Take the victory there will be many more of them Quit whining about the GOP. They’re done. Quit asking permission from them. They work for us, not the other way around.
Sniveling drinking bag men have no spine, by definition.
They will cave to pressure to keep whatever level of position, even if it means having to be part of the majority, which they fear and loathe, as they hate to do their jobs.
But this is the way of the future.
Take it.
Go to the March for Life if at all possible.
It’s numbers grow every year. That is also indicative of the way of the future.
The average age is 24. Young people hate abortion. It’s against natural law. It WILL end. and not because the libs change their mind. And not because the GOP starts doing their jobs, but because people say, get out of the way, decency and regard for the Constitution are here.
There were over 400,000 there last year.
It’s on the anniversary of the Roe V Wade decision every year weekday, whatever day it falls on rain, shine, sleet, snow.
When you go, you’ll see the way of the future, completely and utterly independent of the media.
March for life is hundreds of thousands of people every year for 40 years. They NEVER complain about lack of media, they do not need the media.
And they do not need the GOP

Now is the time to push harder to crash the edifice. Sebellius and Obama with their "War on Women" are trying to push back with the abortion mandate. So it doesn't hurt for all pro lifers to be involved in March for Life to show unity.
There will always be friction between the establishment and elites versus the grassroots and movement activists. However, I am sick and tired of hearing that there is no difference between the two major parties. Third party is a complete waste of time and only succeeds in helping elect Democrats.
There are members of the GOP that deserve my support.
Then there is the report today that Senator John McCain is supporting a 2016 ticket of Bobby Jindal and Chris Christie...
If the GOP ticket in 2016 is Bobby Jindal and Chris Christie, then it makes my point.
If the GOP come up with a team that is truly conservative (social and fiscal), then that would be great news in 2016.

Just note that both (Cruz/Palin) are Republican, but also associated with the Tea Party/Tea Party Express.
