he Obama administration is issuing new recommendations on classroom discipline that seek to end the apparent disparities in how students of different races are punished for violating school rules.
Civil rights advocates have long said that a "school-to-prison" pipeline stems from overly zealous school discipline policies targeting black and Hispanic students that bring them out of school and into the court system.
Attorney General Eric Holder said the problem often stems from well intentioned "zero-tolerance" policies that too often inject the criminal justice system into the resolution of problems. Zero tolerance policies, a tool that became popular in the 1990s, often spell out uniform and swift punishment for offenses such as truancy, smoking or carrying a weapon. Violators can lose classroom time or become saddled with a criminal record.
"Ordinary troublemaking can sometimes provoke responses that are overly severe, including out of school suspensions, expulsions and even referral to law enforcement and then you end up with kids that end up in police precincts instead of the principal's office," Holder said.
In American schools, black students without disabilities were more than three times as likely as whites to be expelled or suspended, according to government civil rights data collection from 2011-2012. Although black students made up 15 percent of students in the data collection, they made up more than a third of students suspended once, 44 percent of those suspended more than once and more than a third of students expelled.

The American people voted for Obama...they knew or should have known that he would appoint people that subscribed to the ultra-leftwing beliefs. And so, this is no surprise. I didn’t vote for any of this!

“Spare the rod, spoil the child” was a cautionary warning that the white majority in flyover country obeyed, with “Reading, ‘riting and ‘rithmetic, taught to the tune of a hickory stick” the prevailing method of assuring the natural tendencies of the young to rebel were overcome.
Yet for some reason, this method of introducing the more recent generations of “the young” to a degree of civilized behavior has been abandoned, with what the forefathers would have thought to be a reckless and foolish course of action. Trying to “understand” children without using discipline as necessary is an exercise in futility, as very quickly, they learn how to game the system.
The result is a bunch of feral children, disrespectful and even arrogant in their ignorance, challenging all authority, rightly or wrongly, but the challenge is based in physical terms, never on any intellectual grounds.
The left’s view of race is entirely twisted.
The left calls us racist because we expect everyone to comply with the same civilized standards of behavior,
and they somehow aren’t racist because they expect minorities to be incapable of living up to those standards.

Once upon a time many years ago, I was visiting an elementary school. To my surprise as I looked down the hall, the principal and the assistant principal were dragging “a person of color” down the hallway. Seems the little angel was disrupting the class and REFUSED to go to the principal. So they removed him.
Not to long ago I found myself in a class room, for about 15 minutes the teacher asked “a person of color” to sit down at his desk. he continued to stand and NOT do the work other kids were doing. The assistant principal eventually came and got the kid to sit down, but he refused to do the work and refused to respond to the teacher and AP when spoken to.
Sure, Iv’e seen whites missbehave, but it’s very rare.
people like holder, obama, sharpton, jackson all prove what lincoln once said about the two ethnic groups living together on this continent...it won’t work.
in this way I almost envy Japan. 95% Japanese still.

the root, like all children, goes back to their parents. My kids were prepared to go to school, there is discipline in my house, so good behavior in school was expected.
That isn’t the standard in certain “communities” so your use of “feral” is spot on.
