When the checks run out, people really start looking for a job apparently

I got 20 weeks in North Carolina. No benefits, but still looking. They also cut the amount.
Many of the jobs have been shipped overseas. Poland is now the new hot spot for software development.

Really. Up-speech is so 1990's. The decline of the culture continues unabated.

It has been many years, if it ever was so, since collecting unemployment was the measure of being Unemployed.

It has been many years, if it ever was so, since collecting unemployment was the measure of being Unemployed Then how does the state count unemployed?

Just curious but did they post any stats showing a number of people leaving the state that corresponds to the down tick in unemployment? Just curious if they found a actual fix long term unemployment or just a way to move somewhere else.

What I posted is all they had. Only other posters here from NC could conceivably answer with the details about whether or not there as been sort of a mass movement out of NC.

I’m curious because in the past I know that families have made an effort to move to states with more substantial benefits.
