I just saw this video from before the last election. It is Judge Napolitano talking about the unchecked growth and influence of government.

In talking about the need to look beyond the media spin for some Ron Paul discussion before the last election, he was also clearly stating much of the impetus behind the growth of the Tea Party.

I didn't think RP would make a good President, but I wanted some of his points to capture America's interest.

We always say the next election is the most important ever. But, I think if we don't turn this thing around soon it may never happen.

As long as the Federal Reserve exists and allows them to print and squirt as much money as they want in order to buy votes, there’s not a damn bit of difference between them.

I live in Maryland where Democrats have uncontested rule over us and I can testify that they are not the same.

There is a difference between ‘the same’ and ‘not different enough for my taste’, the second one is the case.

Was Napolitano on drugs or did he lose his mind?

Someone posted here many years ago that the election was about “which form of nominal socialism we want for the next four years.”

He was right. There is virtually no difference between the two major parties. Evenif a third party is elected, it is still very unlikely any of these laws, programs, cabinet departments, or policies will be repealed.

The tea party never has looked beyond the ‘R’ that is still trying to use them or co-opt them.

Ron Paul was the only candidate that was will to say ‘NO’ to the status quo that is the washington bi-artisan efite elite.

To para phrase Reagan, Dr Paul may have been our last best hope.

Zot me. FR ain’t what it used to be anyway.

It's The Socialist Democratic Party (consisting of the left wing - the Democratic Party and the right wing - the GOPe)
vs. The Tea Party and Sarah Palin.

It's Tyranny vs. Freedom.

It's the tyranny because of big government vs freedom because of small government that protects but does not interfere with your freedom.

Exactly! "What if....?"

My guess is that things would look exactly like they do now, with our Kabuki theater sparring match between IN YOUR FACE! progressive socialism in the formerly red, now blue corner and the kinder, gentler progressive socialism in the now pinkish, red corner.

Entertainment is the new opiate of the masses, so keep those party and candidate donations/contributions coming: The (political) show must go on!

Resistance is futile.

There are two parties. The taxpayers and the politicians. The only difference between D and R is what they want to squander our money on.

The Obama Administration Culture is based on lies, persecution of political opponents, and violating the US Constitution.

Under the leadership of Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell and Speaker of the House John Boehner, the GOP Establishment Congressional Culture is based on becoming more like the Obama Administration Culture.

By design, the GOP Establishment has become a doormat speed bump for Obamacrat politicians on the very wide, and well lighted Highway to European Socialism.

Without the capable cave-in expertise of McConnell and Boehner, the successful fundamental transformation of America into a weak, financially devastated, morally corrupt, unreliable, former World Power would not have been possible.

To those US Senators and House members who still support McConnell and Boehner, remember Einstein’s definition of insanity:

“INSANITY IS DOING THE SAME THING OVER AND OVER AGAIN AND EXPECTING DIFFERENT RESULTS.”

Correct. States and countries can and have survived rule by RINOs. They cannot long survive an ever lowering bar for rule by Marxists.

I used to agree with you and hold out hope that the two parties weren't merging as many people thought. BUt, the luer of beltway society became evident for me in the quick alliance of Marco Rubio and Chuck Schumer to push amnesty last year. The more I look the more I learn and now I am in agreement with the people who I used to laugh at when they told me it's a matter of how fast we go down the road to total government and socialism.

Not "IF", but "WHEN".

You are absolutely correct.

RE :”I used to agree with you and hold out hope that the two parties weren't merging as many people thought..”

I just said that they are not ‘the same’.
I wasn't praising them or telling you to be hopeful LOL
‘the same’ is what I call a talk radio over-simplification.
Its an emotional trigger which is what that business is about.

Everyone has their own critical area of key issues, amnesty is key one for many, as with you.

But many others esp here will be upset if Obama gets to sign any bill, law, or budget that makes it through the Senate,

To all---read a book titled, "The President's Club". There you will see just how close these crude are. It is just one big happy family.

The difference between a Democrat President and a Republican President is the distance between your fore finger and your thumb held together as tight as you are able.
