Houston’s Lesbian Mayor Calls Phil Robertson a ‘Redneck Wing-Nut’

The mayor of Houston, Texas, Annise Parker, is once again attacking  'Duck Dynasty' star Phil Robertson by calling him a “wingnut” and “completely irrelevant.”

Mayor Parker is one of the few openly gay mayors in the country.

Why Mayor Parker thinks anyone cares what her opinion is of the Louisiana TV star is another question, but Mayor Parker made the comments on Lone Star Q, a website that focuses on the gay scene in Texas.

I have never watched ‘Duck Dynasty,’ so I don’t think about it much at all. I’ve been a gay community activist since the mid-70s. It was a very different time. We were fighting to keep people out of jails and mental hospitals. What some redneck wingnut has to say about the GLBT community is completely irrelevant.

Parker then took to her Twitter account to lash out again at Phil Robertson, to reiterate her point. “When i called Phil Robertson of Duck Dynasty ‘a redneck wingnut whose views are completely irrelevant’ I was serious. Who cares?-A,” she said.

What struck me the most about this was how totally UNPROFESSIONAL and DECLASSE her remarks were. Phil is a private citizen, and the last time I checked, private citizens can say what they want to say, unless it's against Obamamao. Elected officials, on the other hand, are supposed to be much more discreet about what they say in public. This "woman" is a total pig, unfit for public office.

The roadways in Mayor Porker's city of Houston are in truly abominable condition (the rather corpulent mayor herself could use a few of them as asphalt-lined swimming pools), yet she is concerning herself with what Phil Robertson may have said?

Mayor Porker will need to concentrate on dealing with the responsibilities of her job (none of which include commenting on the utterances of reality TV personalities.)

Just to show the Homo's how stupid their making every aspect of everything gay has become I would suggest especially in the case of public officials we all do the following.
