After she wrote a critical review of the new Mark Wahlberg film, Lone Survivor, Glenn Beck offered to fly LA Weekly reviewer Amy Nicholson to his studio in Dallas so that she could read her review to Marcus Luttrell, the former Navy SEAL on whom the movie is based.
“I mean this sincerely -- I will fly you first class,” Beck said. “I will put you up at the Four Seasons … You will dine on the finest possible food, and you will come in here and you will sit down and speak these words to Marcus Luttrell. If you have the bills to say what you just said to Marcus Luttrell and back it up, go for it.”
In her review, Nicholson described Lone Survivor as a “jingoistic snuff film” that preaches “brown people bad, American people good.”

Yeah, the liberal writer is a crank but the movie was just awful. It simply cannot be an accurate example of Navy Command and Control, chain of command, UCMJ or - I kept asking myself - “ Who the HELL is in charge here!!!!”. A bigger US Forces FUBAR op has never been depicted on the big screen! AWFUL!
He’s an expert at exposing the cowardice and hypocrisy of the left and he often spends days stirring them up before dropping the bomb.

Nope..we should not humiliate as they do. Simply expose with good attitudes and strength works wonders. The truth without irritation burns evil badly. They must annoy and make the right angry, that is where they get their life. Don’t respond to their evil in that way, then expose..when appropriate. Having spent several years doing exactly what I described to the greens, I can tell you that it works very well. What stops it from working, and us from winning is the Queensberry rules BS that our own people are determined to lose by.

Yeah...maybe we should just give up on Glenn because he isn't perfect all the time.
Beck does get a little over-the-top with his emotion and drama at times, but IMHO, that's just a byproduct of the passion with which he does everything.
Like most people, Glenn's a package deal and you either have to be willing to take the bad with the good, or just forget about him altogether.

The left feeds off the right and the right reacts and feeds off of the left...not so much difference in many. All I am saying is sometimes leftist are just writing so kooky of things, that they really want a reaction from us. Sometimes just ignoring them is good...not always. But even when we expose, there is great strength with a good will even for our enemies. That doesn’t mean weakness, it means standing up with the guilt of anger attached...very powerful.
Nicholson would be perfectly safe. Luttrell might be the first real man she’s ever met.

You missed the sarcasm there? I thought it pretty thick. The 8-10 figure was in the liberal morons review. I don’t subscribe to the notion that 8 Taliban can kill 11 seals and 8 airborne soldiers before tea.
My experience is that the little crazies grow into bigger ones. Remember back in the 80s when the whole PC craze really got going? Could you have imagined that we would be closing tens of millions of acres over bugs?
It was really whacked out libs that people refused to put down immediately that built on their insanity and eventually put tens of thousands out of work, wrecked lives, caused divorce, even suicides.
Every youtube video with nutcases crying over a dead tree attracts more confused bleeding hearts to the cause. Ignore them and have more land closed, oil pipelines stopped, more Pacific North West fiascos and a thousand other things.
There are no lesser crazies just as their is no lesser evil. Crazy and evil must likewise be opposed when and wherever they happen.

Admittedly, I don't get to listen to Glenn's show in its entirety every day as this work/job thing tend to interfere, but recently, about the only sympathy I've heard from Glenn towards gays has been in regards to a Russian bureaucrat saying they should be thrown in ovens, and today he played an audio-clip of some DA from the 1950s who was pledging to hunt down gays and throw them in jail. I happen to agree with Glenn that both of those were a little excessive, but I hardly consider myself as being sympathetic with, or supportive of the homosexual agenda. I've read some commentary about Beck supporting gay marriage, but haven't heard his direct commentary on it, and I prefer to hear such things from the source, in context, so I can't really comment on it, but if he did, I certainly disagree with him on that count, but given the totality of his efforts in organizing mass conservative events, redefining conservative media with the Blaze, bringing together Levin, Hannity and himself for more focused efforts and churning out volumes of pretty well researched and written books, I'd say that his "1% result" is more than most people achieve in a lifetime.
