An Orchestrated Media Hit On Ken Buck

As I type, the left wing media is orchestrating a hit job on Ken Buck in Colorado. The left wing propaganda machine has taken a quote wildly out of context and driven it to national attention through a series of websites, including a 501(c)(3), the Huffington Post, and the Denver Post. Steve Benen, writing for the Rachel Maddow Show site, has also picked up the fabricated story.

Ken Buck is pro-life. He doesn’t vacillate on the issue of life and understands the right to life to be fundamental and worthy of defense. Because Ken Buck doesn’t want to see our nation continue the slaughter of innocents in the womb, the extremists on the left believe he deserves to be destroyed.

All of this is known and has been known since Ken Buck ran for the Senate in 2010. His position hasn’t changed. So what could possibly have the left so up in arms about Ken Buck?

While doing a radio interview on a Denver station Ken Buck was asked a question about abortion and went on to provide an answer that was empathetic to the idea of wanting control over one’s own body.

“I am pro-life,” Buck said. “While I understand a woman wants to be in control of her body – it’s certainly the feeling that I had when I was a cancer patient, I wanted to be in control of the decisions that were made concerning my body – there is another fundamental issue at stake. And that’s the life of the unborn child.”[emphasis added]

Reading the transcript, I can see nothing wrong with what Ken Buck stated regarding his understanding of a woman's desire to 'control her own body', as he wanted to control his cancer treatment but he also added the more relevant issue was the life (of the unborn child) that was involved.

Lefties are desperate for an 'issue' and are attempting to use this innocuous comment to gin up a phoney 'controversy'. One hopes voters won't fall for it but then, voters gave us Barack Obama.

Just like in the recent Virginia Governor election, the RAT playbook is the exact same in every contested high profile election (i.e. Governor, U.S. Senator), and it consists of two primary strategies:

1) make up or elicit a controversial remark from the Republican candidate about abortion or rape and, with the help of the DNC-run press, falsely use the words to make the candidate look bad; and

2) fund the campaign of a “libertarian” to run as an independent and take away votes from the Republican candidate.

Just look at recent U.S. Senate races to see how successful this has been. With a couple of noted exceptions, each of these candidates won the U.S. Senate seat with less than 50% of the vote. We must combat this playbook with every bit of firepower available.

2010
Alaska: murKOWski 40% of the vote
Colorado: Bennet 48.1% of the vote; Green/libertarian/other 5.5%
Nevada*: DingyHarry did get 50.3% (through cheating, gambling unions, etc). And, ’None of the Above’ got 5.2%

2012
Indiana: Donnelly 50% (barely); Libertarian Horning got 5.7%
Missouri: McCaskill got 55% due to Akin’s stupidity; Libertarian Dine got 6%
Montana: Tester 48.6%; Libertarian Cox got 6.6%

Oh, the horror!!! Yes, we need to tremble that a bunch of purse-carrying, skinny wimps are telling lies. How about a few men step forward and kick the democrat Nazis’ butts. Wow, whatta an idea.

Learn street fighting 101, tough-guy conservatives. And if you can’t do that, send your womenfolk.
