U.S. House GOP To Introduce Shortly New Immigration Plan, Including Path To Legal Status

House Republicans are working on an immigration plan that would give potentially millions of undocumented immigrants a chance to permanently live and work in the United States.

The plan, which is reportedly days away from being released to the public, will cover ideas on how the U.S. border should be protected, how immigration laws should be enforced inside the United States, the expansion of visas for certain foreign workers, and how many of the country’s estimated 11 million undocumented immigrants can embark on a path to legalize their status, according to published reports, such as one in online news publication Politico.

The path to legalization’s inclusion in the plan – which House Republican leaders discussed as recently as Wednesday -- is particularly significant given that it is one of the pivotal reasons that plans last year to pass a comprehensive immigration reform law broke down in the House of Representatives after it passed in the Senate in June.

forgotten man: You only see the hardworking ones. The hard working illegal immigrants are highly visible. What you don’t see is their families sucking at the public teat or the criminal illegals in our jails.

9YearLurker: Minimum wage earners don’t pay in squat compared to what they take out of the system, and their demographic is rife with high school dropouts, criminality and out-of-wedlock births even three generations in.

Windflier: What you don't see, are all the state and federal goodies those "hard working" immigrants are receiving in subsidies. They couldn't work for peanuts unless they had their hands in the American taxpayers' pockets.

I see Americans electing a government that uses our tax dollars to cover all of this. What is your plan for getting Americans to vote for a government that won’t use our tax dollars to pay for this?

“My path” isn’t some Zen bit of esoterica. It’s voting FOR what you believe in. Please explain what is ‘wrong’ with that considering it’s what the founders intended we do.

So the Founding Fathers would have agreed with making it easier for Obama to win, because our next President in 2012 would have either been Obama or Romney?

If you expect to get what you want by either voting against it or relying on the altruism of the GOP, than don’t feel shocked and please, don’t complain on internet sites when your fantasy stubbornly refuses to materialize.

Please don’t go taking it upon yourself to place limits on my freedom of speech, Mr. or Ms. Constitutionalist.

Not enough people believe what you do? Afraid of losing? Here’s a radical idea. Campaign for your beliefs and bring people on board to your position.

Someone else at this site agrees with you and makes that point a lot. I can’t remember exactly who, but here are some of that Freeper’s posts.

The problem is the left ward swinging attitudes of the American population, who elected them. If we don't win Americans over to Conservative Christian values, expect more of the same.

Our Conservative values rest in everyone having the opportunity to make their own way in the world. That's what we should focus on.

And we'll keep getting RINOs or Democrats until we stop trying to take the easy way out by blaming the "GOPe", and start trying to win Americans over to Conservative values.

This is why I say we need to win Americans over to Conservative values if we're going to elect Conservatives again. If we don't try, expect more Dems and RINOs.

Maybe you and that Freeper should team up against me.;)

But as I read the sorry statistics on abortion, Whites abort far fewer of their potential offspring than do the two “major” minority groups

True, but getting back to the topic, the two “major” minority groups are projected to double or triple in population in the next 50 years, while the “non-Hispanic white” population will remain about the same.

Legal Hispanic people are not the problem.

Thank you for making that distinction.

Isn’t this multi-cultural $hit wonderful!!

Get used to it, because unless something changes drastically, the population will be majority “non-Hispanic white” within 50 years. We Conservatives need to work to win them over to our values.

You might really want to read up on what Hamilton had to say about enemies in your camp. Take it up with his estate.

And if you wish to make yourself by complaining when you get what you vote for, be my guest.

“Campaign for your beliefs and bring people on board to your position.”

And you don’t agree? I really don’t need to team up with someone to articulate what was once standard conservative and American voting doctrine.

That you seem to have forgotten that explains a lot.

“The difference between my plan and your plan is that I haven’t given up.”

LOL! For someone who has given up, I sure do spend a lot of time with politics. I’m simply not wasting more of my valuable time with the ballot box. I urge others to do the same.

Pain. Americans have to feel a lot more pain before they do what they have to do to change this.

“We Conservatives need to work to win them over to our values.

That is true. And in point of fact Hispanics, unlike Blacks, overall are moral, generally religious people. And they are hard-working, unlike Blacks, who by and large have become lazy welfare recipients, to some exert because of government policies. We read daily about illegal Hispanic crime here, and that is unacceptable on two levels, it’s crime, and they should not be here to perpetrate it. Can you imagine any “black community” doing what the Mexican people are doing in Michoacan? The are essentially telling their national government to Eff off, “we are going to take back our communities without you.”
Do you see the Blacks doing anything like that in Chicago? No, they stand around and piss and moan about how “whitey” isn’t “fixing” things for them. And guys like Rahm Emanuel just sit on their hands and continue to deny anyone in that city the right to protect themselves.

illegal immigrants make up about 29% of the federal prison population from what I hear.

They are also heavy on the welfare rolls.

“”moral, religious”.. “hard working”...

Stupid propaganda that does not jibe with the real world

I think the ‘tea party’ should act as a shadow GOP by 2016, holding state, and then national, nominating conventions ahead of the GOP primaries and convention.

This would set them up to coalesce behind a single, conservative presidential candidate; more easily replace the usual GOP traitors; and start filing as a separate party and outright replace the GOP by 2020.

Meanwhile, we should be screaming from the rooftops to mobilize the grassroots now to stop the amnesty surrender that Boehner, Rubio, Ryan, and others plan for 2014.

Yup. Absolutely. Of course the fact that they are so pain averse is a big part of why they will get more of it.

After another 3 days of dealing with the lesser evil brigade on multiple threads, I am more convinced that their mantra should be “My cake and eat it too.”

Out of one side of their mouths they profess undying admiration for Ted Cruz and his actions on behalf of America and all of us, then out of the other they demand we elect Republicans, “No matter what”. The “No matter what” guarantees more liberals who will fight Cruz, not help him.

I swear Windy that back in the 90s, a bunch of us were caught in some time space continuum tear/flux/disturbance. We somehow maintained our awareness and ability to reason while being thrown into a parallel universe and Bizzarro Earth.

And here, You help those you admire by electing people to fight them!

To Quote Jim Trafficant...”Beam me up Scotty.”

“Stupid propaganda that does not jibe with the real world”

Well while it is certainly true that we have an inordinate number of illegals being “housed” as criminals, it is also true that the one’s who come here to work, work, and they work hard. The welfare is another thing that is a byproduct of our liberal government. It’s all a part of trying to use illegals to install a permanent RAT government. The illegals do get a disproportion share of welfare, the collect Social Security and all of that because we (our government) makes it available, and it needs to stop. My point was that when you compare the Black and Hispanic “cultures,” the Hispanics come out ahead as far as the work ethic is concerned. Here in California, the Blacks thought that the’d “team up” with the Hispanics and together they would “take over the government.” Well the Hispanics have made it, and they’ve now kicked the Blacks to the curb. We are seeing the Blacks loosing whatever positions of authority they once had. We’ve had a couple of Black Lt. Governors, they’re gone. We had Willie Brown as Assembly Speaker for a bunch of years, he’s gone, and except for the Black enclaves in SoCal, there aren’t any Blacks in our legislature, because they’ve been replaced by Hispanics.

They are foreign criminal aliens and have no business here. They need to go home. They can always sign up to immigrate here through their US Embassy.

“They are foreign criminal aliens and have no business here. They need to go home. “

Absolutely, that was not the question I was attempting to answer. They are only here because of the complicity of the RATs and the RINOs, and they do need to go back home.

You might really want to read up on what Hamilton had to say about enemies in your camp. Take it up with his estate.

How would Hamilton have felt about making it easier for Obama to win? I think we could have controlled Romney, but Obama is doing what ever he wants.

In 2012, our next President was either going to be Obama or Romney. If you can think of another outcome, post it.

“Campaign for your beliefs and bring people on board to your position.” And you don’t agree? I really don’t need to team up with someone to articulate what was once standard conservative and American voting doctrine.

If you had clicked on the links, you would have seen that it was I who agreed with you.

That is laughable. Your grand strategy for turning Americans to Conservative values is to take your vote away from Conservative candidates in the primaries and general elections, and encourage others to do the same. Yeah, that'll teach the RINOs and liberals.

“Yeah, that’ll teach the RINOs and liberals.”

I don’t give a rat’s rear if it teaches them anything, whether they’re aware of it, not aware of it, or anything else.

If you want to spend your time with elections where the uniparty determines who can have access to the ballot, decides who can vote, sets the rules of the election, and then counts the votes then please by all means feel free. I’ll spend my time doing something useful.

Here we go again, the GOPe threw out the results of the primaries and nominated Romney.

I’ll spend my time doing something useful.

Like making it easier fr RINOs and Dems to win?
