Pakistan army helicopters fired missiles killing three militants on Sunday, officials said, in apparent retaliation for a Taleban bomb attack that killed 20 soldiers in the restive northwest.

The helicopters fired at a road in the village of Musaki situated in the same tribal region as the bombing earlier on Sunday, intelligence and civil administration officials said.

One of the missiles struck a nearby house, killing a five-year-old girl and a seven-year-old boy, a local administration official added, although security officials could not confirm the civilian casualties.

The bombing, claimed by the Pakistani Taleban, killed 20 soldiers and wounded 30 when it ripped through a military convoy.

Look, I don't like the idea of kids getting caught in the cross-fire, but if the Taliban would stop their terrorist acts, these strikes wouldn't be taking place.

How many mothers, sons, and daughters die just about every day because of the Taliban terrorist strikes in the markets and other social gather places in Pakistan?

There is NOTHING worse for a country than a civil war.
I HATE reading about ours because it was SO sad. We ALL lost.

Yes, we all did lose in that one.

I don’t want to insult people from the South, whose region was ravaged by the war. In a real sense though, we all lost.

The Pakistani govt. don`t want US drones to kill Pakistani villagers-

The Pakistani Army would rather kill the villagers by themselves.

These are complementary activities. We kill some; they kill some. The Pak government complains for the public's benefit, but continues to host our drone bases and hand to us target lists.

Once we leave Afghanistan, expect TalQaeda to start attacking the Paki government in earnest.

Lol. You are the poster boy (or man) for the FR. Not a bad thing at all.
We are ALREADY in a "civil war," brangling, heckling, nagging, sniping, snapping and otherwise battling it out with every post on this site.
We don't go too far because it would wound us in our MOST tender spot: our wallet. We are as UNCIVIL as we can be without it costing us a defamation of character suit.

This eternal, everlasting, non-ending huff N puffing is ALL good stuff.

“sok, I don’t remember things that haven’t happened yet either.

One can OFTEN predict consequences of actions, especially since we human seam to REPEAT and REPEAT those same actions.

I don't often do new things anymore.

I did sky-dive once. Wow. My hands still sweat when I think of it. I did it to get rid of my fear of heights--which is a learned behavior.
After the sky-dive I was not afraid of heights anymore--still am not. Heck of a way to get rid of a phobia. :o)

Nope.

I decided against the bungee jump too--BAD for the neck.

Next time you have lamb for dinner and the waiter asks you how the lamb is, you MUST answer "Not baaa-aaaaa-d."
ALWAYS gets a laugh.

No bungee jumping. I am too old.

My luck? I wouldn't get killed. I would just be maimed beyond recognition and have to live like a paraplegic.
NO THANKS.

But, HOW KIND of you to urge me to do something that could get me killed.

Damn Straight Skippy.

Weird. I always considered my brother more dare devil than me.

When I showed him a video of a guy jumping he said “Forget that S***!)

Still, it’d be great if he and his son go with me and watch.

That’ll be sight.

“First he was standing right here, on this ledge. Next thing I know he starts running and leaps like a Superman or some other super hero from the Justice League”.

He won’t forget it, that’s fer sure...
