Pakistan army helicopters fired missiles killing three militants on Sunday, officials said, in apparent retaliation for a Taleban bomb attack that killed 20 soldiers in the restive northwest.
The helicopters fired at a road in the village of Musaki situated in the same tribal region as the bombing earlier on Sunday, intelligence and civil administration officials said.
One of the missiles struck a nearby house, killing a five-year-old girl and a seven-year-old boy, a local administration official added, although security officials could not confirm the civilian casualties.
The bombing, claimed by the Pakistani Taleban, killed 20 soldiers and wounded 30 when it ripped through a military convoy.

Look, I don't like the idea of kids getting caught in the cross-fire, but if the Taliban would stop their terrorist acts, these strikes wouldn't be taking place.
How many mothers, sons, and daughters die just about every day because of the Taliban terrorist strikes in the markets and other social gather places in Pakistan?
Close the lanes on the Joisy side of the GW Bridge!
There is NOTHING worse for a country than a civil war.
I HATE reading about ours because it was SO sad. We ALL lost.
Yes, we all did lose in that one.
I don’t want to insult people from the South, whose region was ravaged by the war. In a real sense though, we all lost.
The Pakistani govt. don`t want US drones to kill Pakistani villagers-
The Pakistani Army would rather kill the villagers by themselves.
These are complementary activities. We kill some; they kill some. The Pak government complains for the public's benefit, but continues to host our drone bases and hand to us target lists.
When overly passionate feelings combine with stupidity, lives will be lost.
Didn't you just describe the current American administration?
> Pakistan army helicopters fired missiles killing three militants on Sunday... The helicopters fired at a road in the village of Musaki situated in the same tribal region as the bombing... The bombing, claimed by the Pakistani Taleban, killed 20 soldiers and wounded 30 when it ripped through a military convoy.
Thanks Zhang Fei.
If you think the first one was bad, just wait...
Once we leave Afghanistan, expect TalQaeda to start attacking the Paki government in earnest.
Yeah, same passion, same stupidity.
Lol. You are the poster boy (or man) for the FR. Not a bad thing at all.
We are ALREADY in a "civil war," brangling, heckling, nagging, sniping, snapping and otherwise battling it out with every post on this site.
We don't go too far because it would wound us in our MOST tender spot: our wallet. We are as UNCIVIL as we can be without it costing us a defamation of character suit.
This eternal, everlasting, non-ending huff N puffing is ALL good stuff.
I wasn’t referring to FR, but to the Obamanation.
I still don’t remember. Sorry.
“sok, I don’t remember things that haven’t happened yet either.
“
If you think the first one was bad, just wait...”
Very astute comment.
One can OFTEN predict consequences of actions, especially since we human seam to REPEAT and REPEAT those same actions.
I don't often do new things anymore.
I did sky-dive once. Wow. My hands still sweat when I think of it. I did it to get rid of my fear of heights--which is a learned behavior.
After the sky-dive I was not afraid of heights anymore--still am not. Heck of a way to get rid of a phobia. :o)
I tried to bungee jump for the same reason.
Nope.
Not me.
