This is a proposed mission statement for the Free Republic contingent of the American Spring 2014 movement, hopefully to be in conjunction and in cooperation with the Ten Million Man March.

How about full independent investigation into Benghazi, IRS, etc?

An interesting suggestion. Please be sensitive to the need for brevity of the whole of the document, of course... but an interesting suggestion nonetheless.

AND DownSize DC! Target and Close entire Rogue/Unconstitutional Departments.

While I agree these need an independent investigator, I think the genius of Laz’s list is that it is Americans versus the gov’t elites. Too many people would see the investigations as just partisan politics. Unfortunately.

think the genius of Lazs list is that it is Americans versus the govt elites. Too many people would see the investigations as just partisan politics. Unfortunately.I was careful to avoid anything partisan. I actually got feedback from my (reasonable version of a) liberal roommate, who liked the overall concept but hated when I introduced anything partisan. It's unlikely, but you never know: We may end up marching with liberals (the more reasonable kind, not the Barking Moonbat MSNBC kind), on Washington, sharing certain important goals.
The enemy of my enemy is a (temporary) friend.

I’ve read a few negative comments about that movement. What’s the scoop? Good, bad, has potential, unknown?

Absolutely. And in reality, I think we can make an appeal to more libertarian-minded young people to start opposing Big Government, and gradually convince them that they should be looking to the right for real change.

Good job.
The mission is plainly and succinctly stated.
Going for limited objectives prevents, as conservatives are want to do, running off in all directions at once chasing the personal grails

I attended the March For Justice in ‘98. It was absolutely the most fun weekend I have ever had and I still have the t-shirt! I don't think I will make this one but I urge everyone who can go to just go!

I don’t know much about them. When I spoke with JimRob not 20 minutes ago, he let me know there was an American Spring movement. Was a little iffy about them, as you are. I guess I’m borrowing a name for now, until this thing gels. We can rename if necessary, or persuade them to a better place, or something.
