Well put Frank, but even with your quote from FM 24-1, it will have no effect on the chuckleheads on this thread. They will stay immature, ill-educated and unrepentant in triumphing their stupidity as a self-aggrandizing badge of pride they can giggle on and chuckle over between themselves.

As we both know so well, you can lead a fool to knowledge, but you cannot make him think—

Hey, if you two are worried about EMPs going off above you,

there is homemade protection you can use to protect your brains from any further brain damage:

The above childish drivel prove my point express in Post #58:

"They will stay immature, ill-educated and unrepentant in triumphing their stupidity as a self-aggrandizing badge of pride they can giggle on and chuckle over between themselves."

"As we both know so well, you can lead a fool to knowledge, but you cannot make him think—"

And sadly, Frank, this schmuck thinks such infantile rubbish makes him clever.

Oh so true. Punkish chumpism has become an ersatz substitute for true wit since the preemnence of fodder like “Jackass.” This jive makes the 3 Stooges seem droll.

I something think we are reaping what was sowen by what the RINOs, Liberal Democrats and teachers unions have done to our education system over the past 50 some odd years.

When was the last time you had a cashier that had to look at the printout of the receipt to know how much change to give you back?

With me it was earlier today at Walmart, the at Brookshires, then at HEB and lastly at Denny's--

This conversation piqued my interest so I did my own search and will dump this here for anyone who wants to read it. I’ll not get involved in any flame-throwing, though. I’m simply passing through and have no interest in any silly insults; life is just too short. :-)

Gauging the Threat of an Electromagnetic Pulse (EMP) Attack | Stratfor - 2010
http://www.stratfor.com/weekly/20100908_gauging_threat_electromagnetic_pulse_emp_attack

This one pretty much said the no one KNOWS for sure what physical damage a HEMP would do if launched from a missile launcher hidden on a ship “just off the coast.” They reason we really are not sure because it has been so long since an EMP bomb was tested. The article mainly addresses the attack scenario from a geopolitical standpoint, but so much has changed in our country since 2010, that to me, this article is no longer accurate. For one thing, it’s based on the assumption that our leaders would conduct an immediate and massive retaliatory strike. Ha. If anything, our treasonous pResident would be calling in GPS coordinates to them to achieve maximum damage to the Bible-toting gun-clingers in middle America.

An excerpt:
“One scenario that has been widely put forth is that the EMP threat emanates not from a global or regional power like Russia or China but from a rogue state or a transnational terrorist group that does not possess ICBMs but will use subterfuge to accomplish its mission without leaving any fingerprints. In this scenario, the rogue state or terrorist group loads a nuclear warhead and missile launcher aboard a cargo ship or tanker and then launches the missile from just off the coast in order to get the warhead into position over the target for a HEMP strike. This scenario would involve either a short-range ballistic missile to achieve a localized metropolitan strike or a longer-range (but not intercontinental) ballistic missile to reach the necessary position over the Eastern or Western seaboard or the Midwest to achieve a key coastline or continental strike.”

Too much geopolitical garbage and very short on science.

The explosion of dullards everywhere seems to be happening on an exponential scale.
