Texas gubernatorial candidate Wendy Davis is under fire for apparently misstating facts about her life story, with a Republican opponent claiming the discrepancies raise questions about her honesty.
Davis, a Democratic state senator who rose to prominence last year after delivering a lengthy filibuster against abortion restrictions, was the subject of a Dallas Morning News piece on Sunday that took issue with several details in her personal narrative.

The Girl Scouts organization voted Wendy “abortion Barbie” Davis their person of the year. That was great, now people who have daughters trying to sell girl scout cookies will have to explain why they promote Abortion Barbie!
One coworker of mine was at the local grocery store where the girl scouts were selling cookies. She politely told the young girl no thank you, but then directed her response to the girls mother. Abortion Barbie woman of the year huh? Not going to sell cookies with that kind of marketing. The mom said she had been hearing that a lot in their quest to sell cookies....
Not very popular here in Texas.

To be fair, a divorce is not immediate. She probably was raising her child alone at age 19 while living in the trailer. Then the divorce might’ve become official when she was 21.
But, what about the next husband supporting her through Harvard, then the divorce timing conveniently with the last payment, etc...? Of course, that wouldn’t make a good “worked-my-way-out-of-poverty” campaign story.
If only folks would have been as worried about a certain presidents life facts.
got to remember, lying, distortion and half truths don’t mean a damned thing the hardcore left that will support her. So the reps need to win the hearts and minds of the fence walkers, hopefully they believe that character still matters.
Expect the same from her side when they go after the theoretical front runner for the Republicans.
