A GOP candidate for the Florida House of Representatives is under fire from his own party and said he’s been visited by the Secret Service after he tweeted Monday that President Obama should be hanged for treason.
Joshua Black, 31-year-old Republican candidate for Florida House District 68, quoted a tweeter, saying “I’m past impeachment. It’s time to arrest and hang him high.” Black added, “agreed.”
Black then replied, “Execution is the appropriate punishment for traitors."

St. Petersburg, FL — A Republican Florida House candidate says the U.S. Secret Service paid him a visit after he called for President Obama to be hanged.
They shouldn’t be called Secret Service anymore. Maybe Suppressive Service - better yet, Suppressive Stasi, Secret Stasi....or other more appropriate moniker.

If he was a democrat and called to hang Bush it could have been all different.
Regardless of his personal opinion, this is a very stupid, self-destructive thing to do. Here is a man who knows how to attract a ton of negative attention practically for free. This action is so dumb, I wonder if he’s a plant; a democrat who wants to make the republicans look mean, ignorant and dangerous. If this is legitimate, and he really is just a candidate expressing his opinion, then he is not intelligent enough to be a Tea Party or Rep. member. We (most conservatives) don’t want him.

First off he was quoting another tweet and said he agreed.
Secondly, “treason” is a US Code violation with specific criteria. So if he’s saying someone comitted treason well that implies a forthcoming trial and conviction.
Third, what is the sentence for conviction of treason?
He’s a law and order conservative.

By now, everyone has heard of the things that the federal government has been doing to its citizens. It is a clear case of ignoring the Constitution they swore to uphold–of course, all in the name of protecting us from “those bad guys”!
I think the Florida Attorney General would be in her rights and our best interest to pursue criminal charges against any federal agents that performed any such unwarranted surveillance activities against any citizens of Florida and also to pursue civil penalties on our behalf against those companies who cooperated with them. The Constitution of the United States is a restrictive document for a reason. It does not exist to limit the people, but to limit the government so that it does not oppress the people.
I also called my congressman, Bill Young, to demand that impeachment proceedings begin against this president and his administration. We can’t have this kind of thing go unchecked. Waiting until the next election is stupid. How much more bullying can we take?
We shouldn’t be taking any. Government was not meant for bullying but for protection. Somehow, we have let the protectors think that we owe them total control of our lives. This is wrong. No, we don’t owe them that. They owe us their seats and an apology.

Frankly, I’d have to see the poll....I recall a woman shouting at Clinton as he walked through a public area..something along the lines of “you suck”. She was detained illegally, IIRC.
Likewise for many, many other examples. However, you only heard of the SS not making ‘visits’ for all the mayhem and threats during W’s tenure.
