GILBERT, Ariz. — Arizona's Gov. Jan Brewer described The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints' Gilbert Arizona Temple as "a beacon of hope, faith and love to all those who come to this sacred building and its beautiful grounds. It is a special place ... a place of spiritual refuge in this troubled world.

"This temple is also a testament to those who came before you. With faith, fortitude and devotion to God, Mormon pioneers settled much of this state, including what would become the town of Gilbert."

Gov. Brewer made these comments after she visited the temple on Thursday, Jan. 16, two days before the public open tours were scheduled to begin. Elder William W. Walker of the Seventy and executive director of the Temple Department, hosted Gov. Brewer and other special guests, among whom were government, religious, civic, education and community leaders.

There seems to be some doubt about the Coke and chocolate taboo, many sources say it is OK.

President/Pope/ Prophet/etc., David O. McKay, was said to have been a drinker of Coke.

We’ve got so many valid things to worry about when it comes to the direction of our nation.

Should you be wasting all this time on a frivolous Mormon thread when there is so much else of national importance, to post about on other threads?

Are you on drugs, drinking?

There will not be an open house in a “few months”, read the article, this propaganda show for Temples only lasts a few weeks, and is already currently under way.

Read the posts, and read the article, read something.

THank you for recognizing that you have made this a frivolous Mormon thread .
Since you have so much intellectual knowledge of LDS dogma , what is the purpose of the 10 % TITHE ?
Do you know ?

Then you already know the answer to your question ( Post #2 ), and have wasted time " on this frivilous Mormon thread "
You are right ; you are too Sophomoric to waste time on.

LOL, I made it frivolous?

You thought that a meaningless blurb about a politician attending a local opening of a church building was a deep meaningful story?

You sure haven’t been posting that way, your posts are all nonsense and personal attacks, void of anything useful or informative.

You should tell us why you are so angry, you aren’t a Temple Mormon so it isn’t that.

ansel12 : " LOL, I made it frivolous? " You called it !!
You named it "friviolous"
and you own it
I didn't !!

Now answer the question about the purpose of tithing 10%
and skip the "ad hominem" arguement !

My posts have been the only informative substantial posts on the thread.

For someone who isn’t Mormon or that knows anything about the religion, you sure are a raging, angry, hostile poster.

How about you you get less personal, and try to get involved with the thread itself?

Just think, that is a God factory, it produces Gods for a polytheistic religion.

Your posts only get goofier.

If there is something that you want to say about Mormonism, or temple recommends, or becoming Gods, or buying one’s way into a better class of after life, why don’t you spit it out.

I think they all do, Beck and Romney are also Gods in waiting.

Beck is a temple Mormon, as is Bishop Romney.

You were the one who came on the thread (and stayed), to keep posting to people not to spend time on this thread, not me.

I consider my time well spent here, educating people on the religion created by Smith, from Vermont.
