Schumer's Plan to Abolish the Tea Party (lengthy but brilliant article!)
americanthinker.com ^ | 1/24/14 | Matthew Vadum

The Democrats' new much-vaunted master plan for annihilating the Tea Party movement calls for aggressive class warfare, demagoguery, and lying about the beliefs, motives, and goals of Tea Party supporters, Sen. Chuck Schumer revealed yesterday.

Echoing President Obama's infamous "bitter clingers" remarks, the New York Democrat argued that Tea Party supporters are cartoonish figures who are easily ridiculed.

Invoking all the usual liberal cliches about conservatives, Schumer said the Tea Party is successor to "the Know-Nothings, Prohibitionists, Father Coughlin, and Huey Long." In other words, he believes the movement is a collection of hicks, yahoos, neo-Luddites, fascists, male chauvinists, and racists fearful of what leftist academics might call The Other.

"Tea Party adherents see an America that's not reflective of themselves, and the America they have known, and they just don't like it." They are bothered by changes in the "cultural, technological, and demographic makeup" of the nation. It angers them that "white Anglo-Saxon men are exclusively not running the country anymore."

Schumer said his fellow Democrats in the U.S. Senate plan to subject the public to a massive, presumably very boring post-constitutional civics lesson from now until the congressional elections in November.

Democrats "must stop playing defense and go on offense when it comes to the need for government," Schumer said as public support for ObamaCare hit a new record low. "We must state loudly and repeatedly we believe government is often a necessary force for good."

Saul Alinsky would be proud, as Democrats dismantle the USA using his tactics.

He has erected a multitude of New Offices, and sent hither swarms of Officers to harrass our people, and eat out their substance.

Congressional TREASON ALERT! What do the other 534 members say? (crickets…)

A priest once said "if atheists are positive that God doesn't exist, then why to they worry so much about Him?"

Same can be send of Chuckie...if the Dems are so convinced that the TP is harmful to the GOP..they should be subsidizing it..

Schumer was the key government voice justified Clinton's murder of the Branch Davidians - he is a master as villanizing his enemies, and glorifying corrupt government power. His is an insidious human being.

Funny how “moderates” allow a few extremists to advance their cause, without speaking up! Looks like it happens in Congress too. Alinsky Akbar!

In my opinion, the Tea Party's answer to the left-wing attack ought to be as follows:

Liberals are opposed to individual liberty as defined in the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution. The only real issue they have with chattel slavery in America two hundred years ago is that the slaves were privately owned.

They are all orgasmic over the idea of slavery to the state.

Democrats never pass up on opportunity to tell us why enslavement by the state is for our own protection and our own safety, because life under the anarchy that conservatives want to impose is just too risky and dangerous. We can't have any of that inhumane"on-your-own economics" that conservatives advocate.

Thereby proving that you no longer have to be black to be an Uncle Tom.

Schumer will say that uber-wealthy conservative donors have used the grassroots anger born out of the 2008 financial collapse and the election of President Barack Obama to serve their interests. And he’ll say that the interests of the average grassroots Tea Party member and the donors are fundamentally different.

“However there is a glaring weakness — one very weak link in the Tea Party’s armor — which is an inherent contradiction within the Tea Party that I believe can be exposed to greatly weaken their hold on the policy debate,” Schumer will say, according to prepared excerpts of his speech provided to Business Insider by a Senate aide.

“The fundamental weakness in the Tea Party machine is the stark difference between what the leaders of the Tea Party elite, plutocrats like the Koch Brothers want and what the average grassroots Tea Party follower wants.”

Schumer will propose a few steps for Democrats:

Schumer will argue that too often, Democrats have allowed the conservative wing of the Republican Party to make government the “bogeyman.” “We must state loudly and repeatedly that we believe government is often a necessary force for good,” Schumer will say.
He will say that Democrats should hammer home his first point of emphasis in 2014 by focusing on specific examples of government aid that benefits the average American family. Medicare, government-built highways and water and sewer lines, and government support for education are some examples he’ll cite in his speech.
Schumer plans to hammer the Supreme Court’s Citizens United decision, the case that allowed unlimited corporate and special-interest group spending to influence elections. Schumer will say that Democrats need to “address the damage” done by the decision, though both parties benefitted from so-called “Super PACs” in the 2012 election.
Schumer will propose electoral reform in the form of two-party primaries across the nation. California, Washington state, and Louisiana currently have this type of primary. Schumer will say that type of system would filter out “hard-right” candidates and help advance moderate Republicans. “The way to lessen the grip of the tea party on the electoral process would be to do what a handful have done and have a primary where all voters, members of every party, can vote and the top two vote-getters then enter a runoff,” Schumer will say.

What America needs is jobs.

American jobs.

Liberty isn’t the entire question. Sure liberty is critical, but we need financial success.

American needs to GROW. Right now we are importing things.

Far too many things.

Bring back American industry. And think about taxing imports.

Hate to say it, but America needs it.

We cannot continue to sell-off America.

Bring back American greatness. That means, bring back American jobs.

Where I live, there is a strong liberty tradition, but there are also many - way too many - young white men with nothing to do except meth, heroin, and petty crime.

They will never be software engineers, "knowledge workers", or bankers. Their Dads were farmers, factory hands, and laborers.

If we don't have work for them, it doesn't matter how cheap the sh*t at WalMart is.

They tried that in midterm year 2010 too and it didn't work.

And then why are they going after deal making RINO Christie ?

The attack on Christie needs to be strongly fought.

Not because we need Christie, the exact opposite is the case. Christie is a stooge.

But our media is out of control. We need to fight our media.

They have set the agenda in America, and we have nearly failed. China is now the biggest exporter in the world.

Enough.

Stop it. America needs to grow, and prosper, and we won’t do either as long as leftists are in control of our public discourse.

Conservatives, stand up and fight.

I miss what you are trying to get at here. We are supposed to get involved with Christies fight with Holder department?

He has his supporters in the GOP.

Well I’m not siding with Christie (though I strongly defend him)

I’ll fight him up one side and down the other.

But right now, we need to strongly defend him from what is clearly a very, very partisan WH and media.

That is the biggest issue. Our Whitehouse and our media, are arm in arm.

Have been for many, many years. Our media, and democrats. Just democrats.

Always, it is the media, and democrats. I am sick of it.

America needs a free press.

We have the furthest thing from that, now.
