Despite tea party grumbling, John Cornyn in good shape in GOP primary (Wichita Falls Country Club)

With five weeks to go before the primary, tea partiers are still grumbling about Sen. John Cornyn. But grumbling isn’t the same as spitting mad.

After a dozen years in the Senate and his climb to become the party’s deputy leader, he’s the definition of the “establishment” many of them despise. He’s not aggressive enough, they say. He abandoned Sen. Ted Cruz in the fight to defund Obamacare, they say.

“Yeah, I hold it against him. Doesn’t mean I won’t vote for him, but I hold it against him,” said Wayne Pharries, 48, a commercial banker who came to hear Cornyn address the chamber of commerce over lunch Wednesday at Wichita Falls Country Club.

-snip-

“I get the fact that people are scared and angry. I share that same feeling,” Cornyn told a group of 15 Republican women, meeting privately in a wood-paneled salon at the country club after his chamber speech. “Sometimes you can’t do everything you want to do at one time.”

Quotes from bankers and country club members...yeah, that’s a real representative group of primary voters.

Every time a RINO bites the dust a founding father gets his wings.

I’m afraid the TX Republican primaries have been completely taken over by the RINOs. Some are more RINO-oriented than others, but most of the winners on March 4 will be RINO-inclined.

Because every stereotype has a basis in fact.

It was a golden opportunity to get rid of him but he failed to attract any serious opposition in the primary.

Ok, TX Freepers. Any chance of dumping this fellow?

I’ll say again, when Miller beat Murkowski in AK primary, Cornyn sent lawyers TO Alaska to HELP Murkowski as I called directly to his TX office and asked him to support Miller. The staff said “we HAD to support Murkowski as she’s a sitting senator”.... AAACH. She LOST in that primary. So come ON TX. Dump this guy.

Any Chance?

After this past 11 years of CORNYN pissing on our shoes and telling us that it’s raining, I am fully committed to seeing him get a “Pink Slip” in the coming March Primary.

Cornyn has a laughable ad that he’s running that essentially tells us everything that he is not doing and has not done. If “truth in advertising” laws applied to political ads, he would be facing multiple charges of fraud just on this one ad, alone.

For myself, DWAYNE STOVALL appears to be best suited to stand along side of TED CRUZ in the U.S.Senate. Cornyn has demonstrated that he is more aligned with John McCain, Lindsey Graham and Mitch McConnell and that is not at all acceptable.

> “Sometimes you can’t do everything you want to do at one time.”

This is the RINO song, their byline, their excuse.

“SOMETIMES YOU CAN’T DO!”

REPEAT CHORUS:

“SOMETIMES YOU CAN’T DO!”
“SOMETIMES YOU CAN’T DO!”
“SOMETIMES YOU CAN’T DO!”

So if “you can’t do” does that mean you vote with democrats?

Tell the RINOS to vote for conservatism or ABSTAIN! But
then they wouldn’t get their share of the grift pie, and that’s what it’s all about to them.

Politicians will tell the people what they WANT to hear and do just the opposite. Which one do you/can you trust?

Yeah, they’re good at organising to win against conservatives. They only fold when it’s their ostensible opponents on the left

Here’s a quote from DWAYNE STOVALL who is challenging John Cornyn in the coming March Primary race:

“I came into this race concerned, like many of you, about the future of my children and the future of Texas. I was born here. I live here. I will grow old and die here. I love the Lone Star State.

I have no political affiliations and owe no favors. My only obligation is to protect the best interests of Texas.

I haven’t been in Washington for two six-year terms. My family and I know what it is to live and work in this economy, to face the overreaching burden of an out-of-control federal government. It’s bad for business, bad for our health care, bad for education... I’ve never seen a society where government grew so big that its people celebrated greater freedom. In fact, just the opposite.

No politician in Washington is smarter than you about how to live your life. We can’t afford Washington’s political solutions.

I refuse to sit idly while politicians say they look after our best interests and yet vote to raise the debt and grow the government.

During Senator Cornyn’s time in the Senate, the federal government has nearly tripled its debt. Texans were against Stimulus and TARP, but he supported both.

Today, Texans are adamantly against Obamacare, and after he abandoned Senator Cruz in his battle to defund it, Senator Cornyn now suggests that Obamacare be replaced by yet another government program.

Why would anyone believe that he will fight, with everything he has, to shrink government?

Texas deserves to have two senators who stand up for Texans.”

Cornyn has been able to be a Bush toady which means be conservative enough to mask your liberal side. I honestly don’t think Cornyn is in any trouble as much as some of us wish it to be. He hasn’t done anything so outrageous as to move the needle with the typical voter.

Unseating Cornyn is going to take a ton of effort. Maybe even more that it took to defeat David Dewhurst in the 2012 Primary and Run-off elections.

I have no delusions that unseating the ESTABLISHMENT RINO is going to be easy. That said, I also have full confidence that it can be done. It MUST be done.

We can’t afford to keep any of these RINOs in power any longer. They have declared war on us and have made a conscious decision to side with our sworn enemy, Barak Hussein Obama and his Regime.
