Hillary Clinton called the Benghazi terror attack the “biggest regret” of her tenure as secretary of State on Monday, a message she's expected to emphasize as she ponders a 2016 White House run.

“My biggest, you know, regret is what happened in Benghazi,” Clinton said when asked to identify “do-overs” of her time as America's top diplomat during her keynote appearance before the the National Automobile Dealers Association in New Orleans. [WATCH VIDEO]

“It was a terrible tragedy, losing four Americans, two diplomats and now it's public, so I can say two CIA operatives, losing an ambassador like Chris Stevens, who was one of our very best and had served in Libya and across the Middle East and spoke Arabic,” she said

“I mean, you know, you make these choices based on imperfect information,” she said. “And you make them to ,as we say, the best of your ability. But that doesn't mean that there's not going to be unforeseen consequences, unpredictable twists and turns.”

This isn't the first time Clinton makes such comments. She mentioned Benghazi during a global town hall with young diplomats conducted via satellite last year, suggesting her reaction to the attack would feature prominently in her upcoming memoirs.

“Certainly the loss of American lives in Benghazi was something that I deeply regret and am working hard to make sure we do everything we can to prevent,” she said during last year's event at the Newseum in Washington, D.C.

Republicans have hammered Clinton over the death of Stevens, the U.S. ambassador to Libya, and three other Americans in a Sept. 11, 2012 terrorist attack.

They've used the episode to chip away at her record on national security. An internal review of the attack faulted the State Department for failing to provide better security at the U.S. consulate but Republicans say Clinton has unfairly escaped blame.

Clinton slammed her critics at a Senate hearing last year – she famously demanded to know “what difference does it make?” what prompted the attack – but has since adopted a different tone.

She is trying to diminish the two former SEALs who died.

And she is really pointing out that those two were CIA agents, and not part of the State Department cia (the ones running weapons).

So Question: Hillary says Benghazi is her biggest regret, so would not an honest press coverage of Hillary’s career at least address Benghazi?

Again she saying is her biggest regret so I would assume she feels her biggest failure. So would not an honest press address what she herself states is her biggest failure.
But they don’t, they ignored it, whats that tell you about the press?

Hey, biatch, there are 4+ families here who regret your abandonment of their loved ones a hell of a lot more than you do (if you even DO regret it).

That the "citizens" (and I use the term loosely) of this nation allow you anywhere near the levers of power again, it will be final and conclusive proof that this nation has completely LOST ITS MIND!

The Greeks had a polytheistic phrase that keeps coming to mind every time your homely head pops up in public or the media (which I shall update for any MONOtheists still among us): WHOM GOD WOULD DESTROY, HE FIRST MAKES MAD!

If any of you want one of these spiffy bumper stickers, better get them early as supply levels are dropping faster than Willie's pants in a room full of interns!

Her biggest regret ought to be that four Americans died while she was doing whatever she was doing that apparantly was more impoortant than those serving the USA in Libya.

Yes her regret went like this….

Amb. Stevens: “Hillary we are being attacked! We need help”

Hillary: “I regret to inform you I cannot send help because what difference does it make?”

Until I see Axlegrease and Plouffy line up for Team Clinton, I’m not willing to declare “game over”.

In 2007 Hillary was a “lock” for the nomination IIRC.

Hillary, your biggest regret should be going to the face of the mother of one of these brave Americans while standing next to his flag covered coffin and say “A YouTube video was the cause of all of this, I wont rest til there is justice for your son” while knowing THAT WAS A LIE..then went on to spend TAXPAYER money to make an apology video for the Arabs for a video that had NOTHING to do with what happened and YOU KNEW IT

The political news we see is usually one to two months old.

The insiders have decided.

They Rovians want a moderate new englender like christie because they want REALLY BIGGER government.

The fact the primaries are already rigged to favor an insider speaks volumes.

The only reason huckabee is mentioned as a contender is as a vote splitter to divide conservatives.

Since it is your biggest regret, let the American people know exactly what happen. Under Oath and all connected to speak honestly without fear of Administration retribution

Still no explanation.

This is the way Big Media helps Hilary to sanitize this blotch on her record - make a couple of bland fluff speeches saying she "regrets" and "is sorry" for what happened in Benghazi, but allow for no media questions about why.

Then, in 18 months' time during the primary run, where she HAS to take tough questions, she can just say "well I've covered this topic several times already over the past few years, and my answers are clear. Next question."

Repeat until media gives up and public loses interest.

This should have been on the list of her biggest Regrets.

“Zeifman, a lifelong Democrat, called Clinton a “liar” and “an unethical, dishonest lawyer.”

He contends Clinton was collaborating with allies of the Kennedys to block revelation of Kennedy-administration activities that made Watergate “look like a day at the beach.”

Her brief, Zeifman said, was so fraudulent and ridiculous, she would have been disbarred if she had submitted it to a judge.

When the Watergate probe concluded, Zeifman said, he fired Clinton from the committee staff and refused to give her a letter of recommendation. She was one of only three people who earned that dubious distinction in Zeifman’s 17-year career, Calabrese pointed out.

Zeifman told the columnist he fired Clinton because she was a liar.

“She was an unethical, dishonest lawyer,” Zeifman said. “She conspired to violate the Constitution, the rules of the House, the rules of the committee and the rules of
