Sen. Mitch McConnell was asked yesterday by Chris Wallace a very important question:
WALLACE: After the government shutdown in October, which Republicans took the hit for, you were quoted as saying, “We are not going to threaten default again by attaching conditions.” But more recently, you said you don’t think there’s any chance that a clean, without any condition debt bill could get through the Senate.
So, which is it?
Mitch McConnell responded that those two statements aren’t inconsistent, but when later pressed as to whether Republicans would attach conditions to the debt limit bill, he balked:
WALLACE: So, are you saying right here, we are going to attach something to the debt ceiling? And if so, what?
MCCONNELL: What I’m saying is we ought to attach something significant for the country to his request to increase the debt ceiling. That’s been the pattern for 50 years going back to the Eisenhower administration.
I think it’s the responsible thing to do for the country. I think he’s the one being irresponsible by saying oh, just raise the debt ceiling. We’re not going to do anything about the debt or anything else that’s important to the country.
Let me put that in plain English:
“We ought to attach something, but we wont. But hey, look how irresponsible Barack Obama is demanding a clean debt ceiling bill. But seriously, we won’t stand in his way.”
And that’s pretty much our neutered Republican Party leadership right there.

Mitch McConnell demands to be jettisoned from office with extreme prejudice. Same thing can be said for John Cornyn, Lindsey Graham and John McCain just to name a few.
We should do something, but we wont. Mitch’s response to the Japs attack on Pearl Harbor.
McConnell is a traitor to conservatism and traditional America, and Chris Wallace is a devious behind-the-lines liberal saboteur, just like his daddy; the fact he happens to be on Fox can be explained by the same reason that Juan Williams is there. I wouldn’t trust what any one of them says, or thinks.
I tried to watch the interview with Chinless yesterday, but I gave up out of frustration. He truly has no clue, but for one thing: He wants to get his a$$ reelected this November. That’s all that matters to him, what happens to him and nobody else.
The GOP (”e” or otherwise) will not get the Senate back this election, you can make book on that. They will also probably lose the House.

Attack Dog McConnell is too busy waging vitriolic warfare on Matt Bevin in KY for him to have any time to stand in Obama’s way.
McConnell clearly sees that it’s Conservatives he opposes, not the MarxoFascists.
His chances improve with each passing day.
What he’s saying is, the republicrats OUGHT to do something to get the wanna-be dictator Obama under control, but that when all is said and done they won’t do a damned thing.

McConnell serves as a vassal of the Democrat Party and does their bidding while attempting to maintain an illusion of opposition to the Democrats.
Of course, leading up to election years he increases his pretense at being a conservative.

Funny. But I stand by what I said. Chinless and Boner can blow this thing, and I fully expect them to. Remember when Romney had ‘12 sewn up?
