I heard Rushbo say that Union contracts are based on the minimum wage. It’s going to seem like 100 years between now and 2016.
I don’t know the extent, but many civil service union contracts are indexed to minimum wage. Question is, would this executive action trigger it?
Can we begin impeachment proceeding now?
This is actually probably within his authority as the chief executive.
I don’t think this has anything to do with civil service. My take is it will only apply to contractors. Most of them probably already pay more than minimum wage, but there are some contractors that do very low skill work, like mowing lawns.
It’s easy to look generous when it’s with other people’s money.
We have a system of checks and balances, yet nothing is being done to check the dictator. This once great nation is in a shambles thanks to so many corrupt politicians.
So the UNIONS can say this satisfies their ‘minimum wage increase’ triggers and auto-increases their pay too?

And just as a reminder, the principal reason Demolshoviks raise the minimu wage has nothing to do with minimum wage earners. It is because union contracts are often tied to minimum wage, i.e. “Painters will receive 2.4 x the Federal minimum wage.”
