Rep. Steve Stockman: ‘You must be conservative’ when the media can’t find you

Rep. Steve Stockmanis lambasting the media for dubbing him “MIA” while he toured Egypt, Israel and Russia for a 10-day congressional delegation.

The Associated Press published a story on Thursday, titled “Rep. Steve Stockman MIA?,” reporting that the Texas Republican had missed 17 straight House votes since Jan. 9.

Mr. Stockman told Breitbart News that he went on an official trip with four other members of Congress.

“I missed votes because I don’t have a zillion dollars like [Sen. John] Cornyn and have [to] campaign,” he told Breitbart News. “But I wasn’t missing. The Dallas Morning News covered my talk and Cornyn’s tracker was there. Both the press and Cornyn knew where I was.

“Reporters knew I was on an official State Department trip but refused to admit the truth because it would have spoiled their bizarre stories,” he said.

Mr. Stockman also took to Twitter to express his disapproval for American media.

“I must have found the one place the American media won’t go — a pro-Israel press conference,” he said. “You must be conservative when you’re meeting with the media and the media claim they can’t find you.”

“The Egyptian media were stunned and angry at how anti-U.S. the American press are,” he said.

Excellent job, Rep. Stockman. The GOP conservatives have to punch back twice as hard. The DNC has the billion dollar media on their payroll. The lesson that must be learned and practiced going forward forever - wise as serpents, gentle as lambs.

Regardless of the details concerning this trip, Stockman is NOT the man you want to hitch your star to.

He is a serial liar, and is renowned for dirty tricks and misrepresentations.

Please research his conduct in various campaigns from the 1990’s through 2011, and spend some time looking at his criminal history and personal finances.

He is no Ted Cruz.

I live in MA, so I can’t vote for him anyway. But Cornyn is the minority whip and needs to go. That’s why I post whatever stories I can find on who is running against him, so he doesn’t quietly skate back into office.

I say from personal knowledge that Stockman is a liar and a cheat.

He has a history of producing false 'newspapers', actually campaign propaganda, which print LIES about his opponents. He LIES about conservatives, liberals, moderates, libertarians - it doesn't matter. ANYTHING to win. He did this in the 1990's and he did it in 2011. He LIED about Jackson, whether you are a Jackson supporter or not. He LIED about Takach, whether you are a Takach supporter or not. He was convicted and fined for LYING in the 1990's.

Maybe that doesn't bother you. If habitual, systematic, compulsive, pathological LYING to win is OK with YOU, maybe you should go to a LIARS' forum.

OTHERWISE don't FALSELY ACCUSE me of supporting Cornyn because I expose a LIAR.

I’ll vote for Stockman if he’s in the run-off with Cornyn. I’ve made not bones about the fact that even though he is my Congressman (for the second time), I’m not supporting him initially in the Primary. I’m supporting Linda Vega. She is a Conservative, Hispanic lady, who has a great chance of defeating Cornyn in the Primary run-off and winning the General Election.
