Congressman Michael Grimm, reportedly under federal investigation after allegations of illegal campaign fund-raising, blew up at and physically threatened a reporter tonight after the president’s State of the Union speech, according to NY1.

During an interview with Mr. Grimm after the speech, the station’s Washington reporter, Michael Scotto, attempted to pivot from the speech to the allegations. But Mr. Grimm, who said he wanted to focus on the evening, visibly stormed off and then came back to confront the reporter.

The next year will be highlighted, the entire year, by the media and the Obama "justice" team going after Republicans...any small problem will be AMPLIFIED.

The goal of the media and Obama is to destroy anyone who calls themselves Republican.

Dinesh, charged with FELONY. Trey Radel, charged with MISDEMEANOR. Michael Grimm, baited into "outburst".

If the Republican apologizes, not enough. If the charge was overblown, as in D'Souza's case, no matter. In this case, the guy is not charged, merely "under investigation" (REPORTEDLY)....but who cares? The media and even many Republicans will throw them under the bus.

Any Republican remaining will be tainted as part of the "culture of corruption". This is the SAME THING that happened in 2006, when Demon Rats and the media teamed up to taint the Republican brand. Remember Mark Foley? All of his ALLEGED indiscretions were later shown to be nowhere NEAR what the media reported....though the actions were dumb, they were not criminal. The goal was to destroy any thought of voting Republican....and it worked.

In 2006, Demon Rats won control of the House, and the way was paved for Hussein.

That politicians response was ridiculous. He is an example of a Republican that doesn’t represent my values.

One thing is to argue with someone. Threatening bodilly harm is for hood rats. If he can’t control himself, he should be honest and run as a Democrat.

While I agree Grimm’s response was not ideal, the little pecker reporter deserved it. Screw the cry baby twerp reporter. If he can’t stand the heat then don’t badger your interviewees.

http://nypost.com/2014/01/28/grimm-threatens-reporter-who-questioned-campaign-finances/

Grimm said he was on a tight schedule and had previously told NY1 that he was only going to discuss the speech.

A former Grimm staffer told The Post that the congressman was a hothead who takes his rages out on journalists.

“Grimm has anger issues,” the staffer said. “This is not the first time he’s tried to intimidate a reporter.”

No sympathy here.

He's under Federal investigation, and he's "only going to discuss the speech"?

Only 'rats can get away with stuff like that, and only iconic 'rats, like Ted Kennedy! If he didn't want to be asked, he shouldn't have talked to the press at all.

(Just because Obama and his gang of thugs have lowered the bar to depths never before seen doesn't mean that it's okay for Republicans to follow the bar down.)

Grimm was wrong. He could have done the standard, ‘there's nothing there and I can't discuss details while the investigation is under way but thanks for your concern’. There's a million variations he could have employed but the bottom line is, he was dead wrong in threatening bodily harm. He needs to go if he can't rise above.

.....and you all are proving my point.....buying into the destruction of the Republican brand—NOT to the benefit of a more conservative alternative, but to the party of Hitlery.

Yes, anyone in his situation needs to be prepared for question like that. GOP or dems should all know that. Threatening to kill a reporter, no matter how irritating, is somewhat bad form.

Don’t know anything about this guy, but if he’s from NY, then most likely he’s a RINO.

BUT, I agree with your statement.

If it was a Dem, that reporter probably wouldn’t have asked that question.

I fail to see how expecting a sense of professionalism in elected representatives is buying into the Hitlery brand. By definition, a conservative would not have behaved the way Grimm did. I’ll take it further, a conservative wouldn’t have left himself open for the investigation to begin with so the question wouldn’t even have come up.

So Obama and the media only go after Republicans who deserve it, eh? How many investigations do they do on John McCain?

The Republican brand comes in several flavored and Grimm’s flavor is not worth saving. I will vote for conservative, not Republican

That reporter was quite a smart ass, and I just can't stand people acting too smart by half, then playing innocent...

Nice to see that someone still has a set of balls in the Republican party.

Bravo Michael Grimm

Its about time to look for ways to prosecute those who report or publish intentionally misleading or improperly sourced political information with the intention of affecting an election.

Candy Crowley's disgusting performance at the 2012 debates is a perfect example - it would be easy to prove that she intentionally mislead viewers to Obama's benefit.

On the other hand I don't know what good that would do since the leftwing has corrupted the judiciary, also.
