Iran on Thursday dismissed as unrealistic and unconstructive comments by President Barack Obama that international sanctions linked to its nuclear program had forced Tehran to the negotiating table, AFP reported.
The delusion of sanctions having an effect on Irans motivation for nuclear negotiations is based on a false narration of history, foreign ministry spokeswoman Marzieh Afkham was quoted as saying by state broadcaster IRIB.
In his State of the Union address on Tuesday, Obama said that U.S. and international pressure had led to the interim deal struck in November between Iran and six global powers, under which Tehran agreed to scale back uranium enrichment in return for sanctions relief.

Join the club, we’ve got jackets.
His entire life has been a falsification of history.
You know some intelligence service somewhere has got to be closer to the truth.
Maybe not Iran, but ....
What makes you think that our own intel services don't know?
The NSA-spying itself probably picked it up already in incidental communication, plus there's that death revolving around the passport that was supposedly going to be coming to light.
Boy, those Sunnis and Shias sure like to fight amongst themselves, don’t they?
Obama can say what he said because he needs to protect the image that he got a “good deal” out of the Iranian theocrats, but the theocrats narrative is more valid because they know Obama did not get a good deal from the standpoint of U.S. interests. Obama simply wanted ANY deal just so he could say he got one and “diplomacy worked” - the constant narrative of all leftists in the west, unless they want to make war on someone.
It’s so transparent, though. Nobody’s fooled, except the most deluded of peaceniks.
I was suggesting, maybe they do.
And perhaps a couple others I can think of.

Isn’t this the agreement that is being kept secret from the American people. I’d sure like to read it.
I am reading Gates new book "Duty" and am surprise that there isn't something--some hidden truth--about Obama revealed between the lines.
Iran’s got him figured out but half the U.S. population can’t seem to grasp that odumbo is/has been “BAD” for America.
