Immigration Reform Will Send GOP Into Electoral Abyss
Investors Business Daily ^ | 1/30/14 | IBD Editorials

Seeking Hispanic votes they'll never get, Republicans might well ruin what could be one of their greatest electoral triumphs ever. Cheap labor now isn't worth a permanent socialist electorate tomorrow.

'Those are my principles," Groucho Marx once said, "and if you don't like them? Well, I have others." Business should stand for the rule of law. It should also stand for sustaining economic liberty in America's long-term future.

Both principles argue against amnesty for America's estimated 11 million illegal aliens, which would reward them for violating the law and let them pull the U.S. electorate still further to the left.

The U.S. Chamber of Commerce and other big-business interests prefer another "principle." In two words: cheap labor. Their pressure on the Republican Party is heavy, but it's really pressure to take delayed poison.

They are gambling and doubling down on bad odds. They think I’ll hold my nose and vote for their preselected GOP candidate they forced through Iowa, South Caroline, New Hampshire and Nevada.

They are in for an eye opener. I won’t - ever again.

Indeed an understatement.

I have already 1) changed my registration from Republican to Independent, 2) ceased any donations to Republicans, 3) vented my opinions to those Republican groups seeking donations from me (good way to practice continuous four-letter vocablulary), and 4) begun aiding real conservatives.

GOP...RNIP/DDD (rest NOT in peace/die, die, die!)

Just like it wasn’t worth a civil war centuries ago

The Big Boys don’t care about the rest of us nor the long term implications, they feel secure regardless. Huge mistake

It will send this country into the abyss, especially without assimilation. You can’t reward lawbreakers above your own citizens.

Tens of millions of conservatives will walk away if the GOP passes
amnesty. The GOP will be dead.

Won’t be “holding my nose” ever again either. I’ve supported Eric Cantor for 12 years. Never again. I’m voting for the dem who runs against him to help insure his loss.

When a critical mass of “cheap labor” Hispanics begin forming powerful unions and then electing politicians to impose a smorgasbord of mandatory benefits on business....I am gonna go stand in front of the Chamber of Commerce Building and LAUGH my A*S off!!!

nothing the rat party wants more than a minority pub party plus another minority conservative party....they'll win every time...

you have to ask yourself, WHY?....why do this?...

I love for the most part immigrants...they can come here legally and we are the most accepting country in the world to take in immigrants...

so why make all these illegals legal?....

is it about SS and the federal tax burden?...are TPTB now realizing we're heading to catastrophe with our ponzi scheme SS?...

maybe the whole thing is we're going to be just one big country...Mexico...US...Canada....one currency....ruled by our betters...

what is the payoff for these traitors?....and anyone who would destroy our country is a traitor....

The GOP will be dead because of millions of voters will be abandoned and the amnesty’ed Mexicans will vote demonrat.
Also, I remember when the magic number of illegals was around 35 or 40 million. Then the number went to 11 million. Everyone in power just accepted that number.
If amnesty is granted, that 11 million will magically turn into 60 million come election day.
We will be outnumbered and left out in the cold. And the repubs will be the ones who did this to us.

You have the right idea. We have to begin doling out punishment to the traitors. Even if it means putting a Dem in the seat.

Pat Bucannan has a great article about how the GOP has been killing
the country for decades. Stock up and be prepared.

We did not want Obamacare, and you Neo-Democrat RINOs gave it to us anyway, and we are the worse for it.

We DO want you to enforce existing Federal Border Laws.

WE DO NOT WANT IMMIGRATION REFORM ! You gave us that in 1986, and we are the worse for it!

Now y’all say that “we need to cave in this year to Obama on Immigration Reform.”

This is the same GEE OH PEE pablum that you Neo-Democrat RINOs have been always been feeding to the gullible, low information voters.

McCain, McConnell, Cornyn, Boehner, Cantor, and Ryan are always “waiting for massive support from the Public” before they even consider doing a pitched battle with the enemy.

The “enemy” is y’a’ll caving in to Obama! Just enforce existing Border Laws!

Y’all go on TV to publicly beat y’alls chests, and then “reach across the aisle to y’alls good friends in order to get something done.”

You Neo-Democrat RINOs will never lead, will always wait for a groundswell of Public discontent before risking incurring the wrath of their most dreaded enemy: The Leftstream Media.

Note to all the Congressional RINO leaders: We gave y’all in 2010 what y’all said y’all were waiting for - - - - The Massive TEA Party Rebellion, and y’all fought us every step of the way, and are fighting us now more than ever!

We gave y’all the support that y’all asked for and y’all betrayed us!

Betray us once, shame on you. Betray us twice, shame on us!

LEAD, OR GET OUT OF OUR WAY !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

BTW, we have long memories, and just so y’all know, RINO SEASON IS NOW OPEN AND THERE ARE NO BAG LIMITS !

It's plain to see that Rino leadership and RNC don't care what their Conservatives constituents think or want!

Thing is that there is already a pool of “cheap labor” here in the US.

It’s called “the unemployed.”

Who are actively being subsidized in their unemployment by big gvt welfare policies.

Take away the incentives to remaining unemployed, and watch how fast all those available “cheap labor” positions are filled by people already legally here. Removing the need for immigrant labor.
