Sen. Robert Menendez Reimburses Campaign Donor for $11K Jet Trip
NBC NY ^ | 1//31/14 | Jonathan Dienst |

Sen. Robert Menendez (D-NJ) has disclosed that his campaign recently recently paid back $11,200 for a free private jet trip he took three years ago from a Florida campaign donor.

This latest payment comes after the senator paid back $58,000 out of his personal account for two other private jet trips he took to the Dominican Republic with that same donor, Dr. Salomon Melgen.

The senator’s office also announced Friday it was opening a legal defense fund to try to cover the cost of mounting legal bills.

Menendez is facing more than $400,000 in legal defense bills so far, his office said.

Investigators have said the criminal investigation is focusing in part on whether Menendez improperly contacted Medicare officials at a time when Melgen was facing investigation for alleged overbilling of Medicare. Menendez’s spokesman has said the senator only called Medicare officials to suggest they clarify poorly written rules and was unaware of any investigation at that time.

Isn't this the same thing that former Virginia Governor Robert McDonnell and his wife were indicted for?

And they say that a criminal defense lawyer claims that Christie knew that there was a traffic jam on the George Washington Bridge (there is always a traffic jam on the George Washington Bridge), and that's headline news???

Menendez must be sweating bullets----ace WNBC reporter, Jonathan Dienst, did the towering investigation of NJ Sen Robert Torricelli which forced the crook out of office.

Dienst himself has said "....the investigation of Senator Torricelli’s alleged corruption was an extraordinary exercise in journalism going out and spending about six months on that story working almost non-stop digging and digging, trying to find corroboration to allegations that the senator had an improper relationship with a convicted felon."

" So we were out meeting with merchants, meeting with defense lawyers, meeting with investigators, members of Congress, and meeting with anyone who might have information about the senator’s alleged wrong doing."

"We obtained documents, tapes and materials and it was at a very important time. The election was coming up, the balance of power weighed in the balance and the fact that we were able to show and highlight some of the senator’s activities so that the voters knew. That was an incredible story to be a part of."

“Menendez is facing more than $400,000 in legal defense bills so far, his office said.”

Sadly, $400K for a US Senator is chump change.

They get that much in “campaign contributions” in an average weekend.

THE DOMINICAN REPUBLIC---MEDDELING IN US AFFAIRS TO SAVE MENENDEZ'S SORRY *SS It is an unconscionable travesty against representative democracy--that the corrupt Dominican Republic is meddling in US affairs---cooking the books to help Menendez stay in power.

HOW DO YOU SAY QUID PRO QUO IN SPANISH? Clearly, a deal was made. IF (BIG IF) the Dominican Republic saves Menendez's degenerate a** (and prevents the dreaded Christie appointment), Obama will write the foreign aid check w/ plenty of zeros.

BOTTOM LINE Menendez has TWO governments protecting him----New Jerseyans have not even one government looking after our interests. The Gimme Zombies marginalize Americans, and undermine our political system.

===================================

JUDICIAL WATCH REPORT It’s like a never-ending saga of political corruption and cronyism. In the last year alone, Menendez has been implicated in a number of serious crimes—including (1) escapades at a posh villa in the Dominican Republic w/ underage hookers — and, (2) hiring an illegal latino to work in his Capitol Hill office who was a registered sex offender.

Now authenticated reports say the DOJ has launched a criminal probe into Menendez's use of his official office on behalf of two Ecuadorian fugitives. The wealthy businessmen, William and Roberto Isaias, brothers who live comfortable in South Florida, were convicted of embezzling north of $660 million during Ecuador's 1999 banking crisis. The brothers Filanbanco, and absconded to Miami with a stash as the bank collapsed.

Ecuador has repeatedly asked the U.S. for their extradition, but Uncle Sam has simply flipped the finger.

In fact, the Isaias case came up this past summer when VP Biden asked Ecuadoran President Rafael Correa to reject the asylum request of fugitive NSA leaker Edward Snowden. Biden said Snowden was a fugitive of American justice and didn’t have a passport,” Correa said in Ecuador’s largest newspaper, El Telegrafo . “I told him the Isaiases are fugitives of Ecuadoran justice and they also don’t have passports and you won’t extradite them.” Correa added that “the only difference is that the Isaiases have been sentenced.”

It appears that the brothers have escaped Ecuadorian justice b/c of friends in high places. Sen Menendez, who represents NJ, wrote letters and made phone calls to the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) and the State Department in support of the Florida brothers.

The former head of the FBI in New Jersey says the Menendez letters and calls were “shocking.”

HAS MENENDEZ HELPED ANYBODY IN NJ LATELY? Menendez sent a personal letter to Alejandro Mayorkas, then director of U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS), asking that the fugitive siblings get “full consideration” and that DHS “expedite its review.”

Mayorkas, a Clinton federal prosecutor who resigned in shame after orchestrating the pardon of a major-league drug trafficker, has since been promoted to DHS Deputy Secy. (FR POSTED 1/24/14)

I don't click on any links that include NBC or NY.

Is there any reference in the story to his previously reported visits with underage prostitutes in The Dominican Republic?

I mean, it's awful nice that he would go through all that trouble to comfort and encourage young women trapped in the seedy world of sex trafficking.

He's probably too humble to make a big deal of it.

“Menendez must be sweating bullets——ace WNBC reporter, Jonathan Dienst, did the towering investigation of NJ Sen Robert Torricelli which forced the crook out of office.”

Question: Are there any honest politicians in New Jersey? I mean Jersey is seemingly an order of magnitude more corrupt than Chicago, but no one ever goes to jail! At least in Illinois, they finally put their governors away. But Old Fungus Face, the former NJ governor, is still walking around after stealing billions. NJ looks to me like “The Toilet on the Hudson!”

Shop lifter gets caught and offers to hand stolen stuff back in return for his freedom is laughed at and sent to jail; Democrat “reimburses” what he stole and is hailed a “man of integrity.” It’s always the same old story.

Yeah-—even when Torricelli was forced out, he got a mega-govt job making $450.00 an hour overseeing environmental “clean-up.’

Imagine the potential for govt fraud his buddies handed Torricelli?

"Question: Are there any honest politicians in New Jersey?"

Have there been any honest politicians anywhere? At least since George Washington?

Yes, but they are a extremely rare commodity.

WHAT DOES OBAMA KNOW ABOUT MENENDEZ? AND WHEN DID HE KNOW IT?
(Menendez is Obomba's buddy-buddy---and his Senate point man on amnesty)

Politico reports 3/19/13 that Floridian Salomon Melgen airlifted Dem Majority leader Harry Reid (Dim-Nevada) on his private jet. Floridian Melgen gave $700,000 to Nevadan Reid's PAC---Reid then poured money into NJ's Menendez's reelection campaign

Politico also got ahold of an exclusive photo the White House does not want you to see.

A beaming Obama w/ Melgen at his side.

At the time, Floridian Melgen co-hosted a 2009 fundraiser for the Dem's DSCC committee headed by NJ's Menendez.

MENENDEZ SUCKS-UP FOR ETHNIC SOLIDARITY Then in 2011, Floridian Melgen hosted a star-studded fundraiser at his Florida home for NJ's Menendez.....included retired Army Lt. Gen. Ricardo Sanchez, then a Texas Senate candidate, and world-famous Mexican balladeer José José (who?).

ERRAND BOY MENENDEZ INTERVENES FOR FLORIDIAN MELGEN On two occasions (that we know of), errand boy Menendez personally contacted top Medicare officials about an HHS ruling that Floridian Melgen owed $8.9 million for over-billing. Dual-citizen Melgen ranted about having to pay up---whined that HHS did not give him a hearing.

While Floridian Melgen was glad-handing politicians for business profits, he flaunted his wealth---chauffeur-driven in a customized Audi A8 and inviting politicians needing a lube job to his mansion in the Dominican Republic.

Melgen has a collection of photos with politicians — including him golfing with Bill Clinton. Floridian Melgen bragged about using his plane to transport entertainment to a super PAC fundraiser at the DNC Convention last summer.

Florida resident Melgen tapped into NJ's Menendez's errand boy status at a political function in the early 1990s, when Menendez was in the House of Representatives. Over time, Foridian Melgen and his family donated nearly $1 million to NJ's Menendez and related committees. NJ's Menendez vacations frequently with Floridian Melgen in the villa Melgen owns in the Dominican Republic.

Judicial Watch is also investigating whether the Obama administration blocked the deportation of an illegal immigrant sex offender who worked for Menendez...the effort was probably to dodge a scandal that could have cost the politician his reelection in 2012.

BACKSTORY A national newswire broke the story of how the White House apparently protected Menendez from yet another public relations crisis by delaying the removal of the illegal immigrant from Peru who was on US soil with an expired visa (like the 9/11 hijackers) and who had a criminal record for sexual assault.......but was hired to work in Menendez' Senate office....as a volunteer.

================================================

Menendez sure aint gonna tell----so we need to demand to know how much damage Menendez allowed this illegal predator to do to our govt---for example:

(1) how many financial bombs did the Peruvian sex offender (Luis Abraham Sanchez Zavaleta, Newark), plant in federal budgets-----bombs which jetstream federal money to him and his relatives in perpetuity.

(2) How many identities does Luis Abraham Sanchez Zavaleta, have.

(3) How many US govt checks is Zavaleta--and his extended family--- cashing.

Sen Menendez says he" never knew" he was mentoring a sexual predator when Luis Abraham Sanchez Zavaleta, Newark, worked as a volunteer in his Senate office.

Hmmmm.....could be-----Menendez meets only criminals and ne'er do wells in Hudson County. Heck, the US State Dept once stopped taking passports from HC Clerk's office---b/c they were all fraudulent. Then-Gov Corzine appointed the HC latino clerk forging passports to a high post in his admin.

JUST A COINCIDENCE? Candidate Jon Corzine had a "Peruvian Pac" supporting his losing reelection. Looks like Peruvian predator Luis Abraham Sanchez Zavaleta, Newark, is well-connected in Democrat circles.

===============================================

HERE'S A NICE SUGGESTION All of the paperwork Menendez filed with Senate offices to actuate the Peruvian's position should be rigorously examined for falsification and forgery. Filing falsified govt documents is a felony.

===============================================

The Senator affirmed the Peruvian predator was a "volunteer." So how does the volunteer support himself? Who pays his rent? Who buys his meals? Who pays his carfare to and from the Senator's office? Did Menendez ask the Peruvian volunteer how many identities he has---and whether he knows of---or ever did "business" with----these guys?

=======================================

NJ BERGEN RECORD---Pelcastre brothers, Angel and Jorge, Dallas, Texas, were a walking threat to US national security, expert document forgers who, for a few thousand dollars, could give anyone a new identity (many latinos establish multiple identities in order to ride the US gravy train). The Texas brothers were a "one-stop shop" for a myriad of fake US documents, including birth certificates, Social Security cards, driver's licenses----for any state in the US------ passports and resident alien cards, said NJ state police.

The Texas brothers turned a north NJ hotel room into a business office and were readying a massive cache of fake Social Security cards for delivery to a local NJ identity broker. The Texas brothers were followed to a NJ office supply store nearby where they purchased computer supplies. Officers then followed the Texans to a NJ storage facility in Secaucus, NJ, where the Texans loaded several boxes into a car. One of them stood lookout.

After a search, police recovered laminating sheets with built-in security features, pages of blank documents waiting for fake names and information, finished documents, computers and software to create the fake IDs.

All tolled, the haul was worth about $500,000 on the street when sold to "impoverished illegals." Police also recovered $6,000 in cash, which was the first payment from a NJ fake document broker for a shipment of 500 phony Social Security cards. ####

Menendez is an expert at dodging questions about his personal honesty.

BACKSTORY Few years back, the Asbury Park Press reported that Menendez was funding a Hudson County building he owned using the disreputable Congressional scam of "earmarks"----appropriating tax dollars for a lawmaker's own self-interests.

Menendez refused to answer questions here. So he went on the lam--- to the Dominican Republic where he sap-happily gave interviews in Spanish to the local media there------until the furor died down here.

AP reports Menendez is mentoring the Third World criminal underworld, and facilitating its activities, on Capitol Hill. Ap reports Menendez provides jobs........ even for Third World illegals who are registered sex offenders.
