There is a medication which is proving very promising in reducing the craving for alcohol. Maybe ask a doctor about it. It’s called Gabapentin. Recent studies and someone I know suggest it works for some.

Such modern medical mercies can open up a window for addressing the issues on a deeper level.

But I’ll tell you folks till I am blue in the face. Be a God-a-holic and that will give you the perspective needed to conquer the other problems, which are really lesser gods competing for your allegiance. At the same time the real God is longsuffering.

gabapentin’s used for pain relief in animals, also.

Disulfram is the classic anti-alcohol medication, but it’s not gentle, to say the least.
