State Dept. released it's environmental impact statement, but I still doubt this administration will give the OK. My guess is that will be left for the next president. pResident Obama and his foreign policy wizards figure they can stall the Canadian until then, but I have this sneaking suspicion they are going to make a right turn with that pipeline and sell all or most of it to China, S.Korea and Japan.

I remember when they said the ALASKA PIPELINE would never be built!

I said, “Wait till the Arabs embargo oil again, it WILL be built.”

A year later, “EMBARGO!” Gas prices again skyrocketed and the pipeline WAS built.

Eventually KEYSTONE will be built.

Whether Keystone gets built or the tar sands go to China doesn’t really matter other than the potential beneficial impact on the U.S. economy which Butthead Odildo doesn’t want.

As long as the product becomes available to the world market, it helps all countries by increasing the total world supply of BTUs and it hurts OPEC since the product doesn’t originate from a source they control.

An article in the WSJ today said that the same oil is being trucked to the Gulf. Trucks produce the dreaded green house gasses. So, the pipe line would actually serve the deletions of the “environmentalist” opponents. Idiots.

The same is true of today's leftists. Their hatred for capitalism (and freedom) far exceeds the assessment of its effects. They will block the pipeline and watch every single barrel of Canadian oil and every carload of US coal be shipped off to China just so that they can exercise control over the free commerce of the average American.
